I can’t fit the whole image inside the Instagram frame like I’d want to but oh well 😅 This is my entry to @_rotten.fruit_ ‘s DTIYS ✨
I’m not that great at nighttime lighting so I thought it would be a fun study as well! I still have a lot to improve but I think I’m happy with this for now 😊

Since I’m still really bad at landscapes, I have to continually remind myself to sketch them every now and again 😅 So when I first found the quote I posted on my stories yesterday and inspired this landscape in my mind, I decided to sit down and sketch it. Of course, having to continually remind myself of said quote 😂. You can ask my husband who was in the living room with me as I was creating this sketch. I was having a very difficult time keeping to it, as my patience was wearing thin.
I seem to have a very bad habit of expecting perfection from myself no matter what, which damages my enjoyment of the process. Especially in areas I’m not confident. But in the end, I think it came out ok (maybe 🥲.) by @dani_the_scribbler

I wasn’t wholly thrilled with the rest of my concept sketches for this character (they’re concept sketches after all) but decided to post my favorite piece of those sketches.
Maybe one of these days I’ll share more details about her, or maybe not. But for now, this is it. 🌹 by @dani_the_scribbler

🪸 🐚 I’m gonna pretend I know anything about color theory with this one 😂

This turned out WAAAAY better than I thought it was gonna. Hopefully I’m not setting too big a precedent for myself with this one 😵‍💫 I already know that I’m not gonna be able to do every one this year again but that’s ok 🥲

Hopefully Instagram doesn’t affect the quality of this one too much 🙏🏼 and here’s to hoping @mermay_official sees my entries this year! ✨

Can’t believe 2025 is already over! And in a year I didn’t expect to create many pieces of art, I created many of my most favorite to date! Here’s to hoping 2026 sees even further improvement, and to all my fellow artists and writers, I wish you the same! by @dani_the_scribbler

My entry to @tatys_magic and @_writing_with_cats_ writergram Christmas ball! ✨

I don’t know if this will count if I don’t put any of my fictional OCs in, but it was such a fun event I wanted to join even if I won’t be entered 😌

Plus my official annual Christmas post. I missed last year because of morning sickness and pregnancy and all, but am very excited for this year’s! The Christmas song I chose for this entry is from my favorite Christmas album by Living Strings.

Baby Angelina can’t dance yet but we brought her with us because she loves the music!

🎄 Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄 by @dani_the_scribbler

Saw this trend and gave it my own twist ✨
Since I’ve been having tons of art block recently. It was definitely a way to get my creative juices flowing!

Finally I can share the finalized character concept sheet for my OC Kaelus. It’s only taken me half a year to be satisfied with his design 🤣🤣 The biggest struggles I was having was actually his color palette: I wanted something that looked both Slavic in design but also echoed a starry night sky (for lore reasons) but I eventually got something to work 😆

☁️ Finalized character design of my OC Ikrina Holda Pyra 🩵
She’s the main character of the high fantasy book I’ve been writing since the beginning of the Summer writing challenge, and due to that I have a much better understanding of who she is as a person, thus making her much more easy to draw!
Accidentally I made my two main characters some of the hardest combos for me 😆: aka blonde hair pale skin, brown hair dark skin. I’m not sure why, but without the contrast, it’s so much harder for me to draw 😂
