Today is Arwen’s 10 year gotcha day! 🎂🎉🎈And what better way to celebrate than with a photoshoot with the most beautiful, patient and adored gal in the universe. She is just perfect. 10 years and she still looks and acts about 2 🥹🥰 This one’s for you Arwen Bacon, me and you against the world ♥️

How do I put this into words.
I have a chronic illness, one that I don’t, and never have, wanted to admit to myself or anyone. One that doctors refuse to acknowledge or help me with. One where I need to battle to advocate for myself with the energy I do not have. Endless doctors and hospital appointments, no answers, no help. Because it’s a chronic illness, diagnosis is extremely hard, and explaining this to others is so difficult. If I had a recognised illness, people would listen, understand & support me. They would care.

I am extremely ambitious, I want to do everything, to work hard, try everything, make things, travel, run, help others, I want to experience as much as I can. But right now especially, my body just won’t let me.
I have battled this illness since 2020. 2 years bedridden. 4 years working around my illness, achieving as much as I can. Pretending I’m ok.
Since the beginning of April, things have gotten worse and pretending became harder. It’s winning. I have been housebound since the end of April. I can barely stand, my body feels poisoned. Every day from my sofa or bed, I have watched the world continue, watched people living their lives, whilst I’m still here day after day, falling apart. I am in a prison. Chronic illness is so isolating, I could feel better next week or never. It’s extremely mentally taxing and so exhausting.
I just want to run. I want to feel strong.

My life has been a struggle from one thing to the next, I just want the chance to see how far I could go without constant limitations.

Part of me feels embarrassed sharing this side of myself, I don’t want to be remembered this way but, the other part of me wants to advocate for those living in similar shoes. Honestly, this sucks so much so please remember to reach out to your loved ones who are going through health issues. Health really is everything.

I will probably delete this if ever I feel better or more positive. But for now here’s a window into living with a chronic illness. It sucks ass.

In March, I was delighted to be tasked with shooting some of @rebekahpeters.thelabel ‘s beautiful hand-made clothing at my studio. It was such a fun shoot with some really lovely models, and the sun blessed us with golden rays in the afternoon 😍

Recent shoot for the cover of the March issue of @leftlionmagazine ♥️ used my flash for a little 90’s film aesthetic 🤘🏼
