Let me tell you about our day in Paris (I promise there’s a point to this! 👌🏼)
.
.
We arrived here at 3pm, went to our @airbnb to drop our bags and take the train into town.
.
We immediately went to see the #eiffeltower duh! Walked AROUND town, literally all around town. Grabbed some #Macarons, a PARISIAN baguette (yes, there is a difference), chocolate croissant, and an eclair! All of them were 🤤
.
We saw the palace, theaters, museums, #arcdetriomphe, #louisvuitton, the most EXTRA @abercrombie we have ever seen, even a restaurant with my name spelt the CORRECT WAY! 😱
.
We did all this in 6 hours! We saw so much beauty in the city of #Paris!
.
But then there’s also the scary reality. As we were walking to the train station, down the stairs we heard screaming. Brandon was trying to find information on where we go, and I was a few steps behind him. A man walks right past me with a mess of stuff in his hands. When the screaming becomes more clear going down the steps, a women is screaming that a man just stole her wallet. It was the same man that just walked past me, and as I turned around, his brisk walk up the stairs turned into a run.
.
The husband was already on the other side of the subway stalls and was bouldering his way through the barricades to chase the thief.
.
Had we not taken the extra minute to take one more picture, that could have been us.
.
The truth is, you hear about these things happening all the time. There’s warnings that blast about pickpockets on the trains in Barcelona.
But we all have the same thought... “That could never happen to me”.
.
At the end of the night, I was saying to Brandon, “That could have been me”.
.
