📍🇱🇺 Llegamos al fin de otro viaje hermoso, en un país que no habíamos visitado antes. Aunque amo viajar, sé que es un hobby caro y siempre intentamos buscarle la vuelta para que no lo sea. 📍🇱🇺 We have come to the end of another beautiful trip, in a new country. Although I love to travel and I tried to arrange my life to be able to travel as much as possible, I know that it is an expensive hobby and we always try to find a way around it so that it is not. We discovered @trustedhousesitters in 2018 and it's been one of our favourite ways to travel ever since.

Desde Tokio, hicimos un viaje en el día a la ciudad de Yokohama, que está en una hora en tren. Toda la parte de la costa nos pareció preciosa, y nos dio ganas de quedarnos más tiempo. Nos quedamos con las ganas de subirnos al famoso mirador de la Landmark Tower, pero pudimos pasear por el Parque Yamashita, ir al Cosmo World y Akarenga, y tomarnos el Air Cabin (que abrió en 2021) para volver al centro de la ciudad.
📌 Yokohama tiene además el barrio chino más grande de Japón, y vale la pena hacerse un paso por ahí también.

From Tokyo, we took a day trip to Yokohama, which is an hour away by train. We found the entire coastal area beautiful and wished we could have stayed longer. We didn't get to go up to the famous observation deck of Landmark Tower, but we did manage to stroll through Yamashita Park, visit Cosmo World and Akarenga, and take the Air Cabin (which opened in 2021) back to the city center.
📌 Yokohama also has the largest Chinatown in Japan.

Creo que hay pocas ciudades a las que volvería siempre, Tokio es una de esas sin ninguna duda. Odaiba era una de las tantas cosas que nos habían quedado para ver y en primavera es hermoso (y pudimos ver algunos cerezos incluso cuando en otros barrios ya no quedaba nada)
📌 Esta zona está en una isla artificial en la bahía de Tokio y es un distrito muy popular de compras y entretenimiento.
Se puede llegar con el Yurikamome, el famoso tren sin conductor que sale desde Shimbashi.
📌 Vale la pena ir de noche también, las vistas de la ciudad son espectaculares.

📍🇯🇵 Odaiba, Tokyo, Japan
I think there are few cities I would always return to, and Tokyo is undoubtedly one of them. Odaiba was one of the many places we still had to see, and it's beautiful in spring (and we even managed to see some cherry blossoms when there were none left in other neighbourhoods).
📌 This area is on an artificial island in Tokyo Bay and it is a very popular shopping and entertainment district.
📌 You can get there on the Yurikamome, the famous driverless train that departs from Shimbashi.
📌 It's also worth going at night, the views of the city are spectacular.

Nagoya fue otra de las sorpresas del viaje, una gran ciudad buena para hacer base pero mucho más tranquila que otras, menos turística, ideal para recorrer, comer y comprar sin las filas de otras partes.
📌 El Castillo de Nagoya fue el primer castillo de Japón en ser declarado tesoro nacional antes de su destrucción durante los bombardeos de la guerra y lo encontramos lleno de cerezos y ya listo para el festival de la época 🌸
📌 Con el shinkansen, es solamente una hora y media desde Tokio.

📍🇯🇵 Nagoya Castle, Japan
Nagoya was another surprise of the trip, a great city to base yourself in but much quieter than others, less touristy, ideal for exploring, eating, and shopping without the queues of other places.
📌 Nagoya Castle was the first castle in Japan to be declared a national treasure before its destruction during the bombings of the war, and we found it full of cherry blossoms and ready for the season's festival 🌸
📌 By shinkansen, it's only an hour and a half from Tokyo.

El tren romántico de Sagano es un paseo con vistas del paisaje al borde del río Hozu, que va desde Kameoka hasta Kyoto. Hay que reservar con tiempo pero es un paseo que realmente vale la pena. Y de yapa, nos llevamos al conductor cantando ue o muite arukō. Esas cosas lindas de Japón ❤️

The Sagano Romantic Train is a scenic ride along the Hozu River, running from Kameoka to Kyoto. You need to book in advance, but it's truly worthwhile. And as a bonus, we got to hear the driver singing ue o muite arukō. Those lovely things about Japan ❤️
