Playing my Chewbacca song in front of an audience for the first time in years. I was more than a little nervous, but the crowd was very kind.

Thank you so much to @mulholland_honey_official for the invitation and to @joongloomofficial for putting together a super fun night. Thanks also to @curious_sage and @angelamanzattolee for recording. I love you both!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! I’m very excited, on this day of all days, to share that my creepy poem “The Projectionist,” inspired by the @kigginstheatre, which is owned and operated my old friends Dan and Lori Wyatt, will be featured in the upcoming anthology HORROR FROM THE HIGH DIVE VOL. 3!

You may recall that short stories of mine appeared in the previous two volumes. Once again edited by my good friend @peterlharmon, this volume collects the spooooky work of thirteen writers, and today we can officially reveal the cover art by @pgkeke!

Check it out, and stay tuned for more updates to come!! by @daniel.lee.author

What a fun weekend of celebrating my friend Dan Wool and his collaborators, film legends Alex Cox (director of Sid and Nancy, Repo Man) and Phil Tippett (stop-motion vfx director on the original Star Wars trilogy)!

First a screening of the 1987 absurdist shoot-em-up STRAIGHT TO HELL (part of @am_cinematheque’s Alex Cox retrospective), then the @coprogallery show Artifacts of a Mad God, featuring storyboards, models, puppets, and costumes from @madphilg’s nightmarish masterpiece MAD GOD! There we ran into another buddy, @mynameischance of the fantastic band @thebabygoatsmusic! Surrounded by cool on all sides!

I’m so very sad to hear of the passing of my friend Reggie Bannister, musician and star of the Phantasm series of films. Back in 2004 he acted in my feature film Journeyman and we stayed in touch over the years. It was always lovely to see him and he never failed to make me feel like as legitimate a collaborator as any with whom he worked. My heart goes out to @gigibannister, and all those who knew Reggie. He was a genuinely kind, creative soul, and I’ll miss him very much.
