AI + 3D: Crystal experiment 2 - Topaz More experiments to optimize render time. Used Flowframes. As well as trying to see the limits of caustics and lighting from my machine, I added mirroring modifiers to create more complex and almost sentient geometry. AI + 3D: Crystal experiment 1 - Diamond More AI experiments. AI prompted and AI Interpolation. The prompt was to create a 4 sided crystal inspired by fractals. The interpolation part was new and interesting. The video here is at 60 fps (if Instagram doesn’t ruin the quality). But the original animation was only 15 fps. Using a tool called FlowFrames you can use AI to fill in the gaps, essentially dropping render times by 75% in this case. #gpt4 #ai #blender3d #flowframes taken in Toronto, Ontario by @daniel.rain_

AI + 3D: Rings of Perlin Inspired by the concept of Perlin noise on a simple form like a circle, this animation was generated with the help of GPT4. GPT was used to model the scene, keyframe movements (except for camera and the environment bg) and animate the materials. The materials were to cycle through prompted colour harmonies in an attempt to brush up on my colour theory. This piece was the result of the 9th iteration. Prompt: Write a blender script for the following: create an animation, 900 frames long at 30fps. in the scene, model a circle with 36 points on the X-Y plane. each point corresponds to a color on the color wheel and a sphere with a .1 diameter and with an emissive material that corresponds to the respective color. these colors will cycle smoothly around 360 degrees. Similarly, make a second circle laying 1 unit above it with 20 points, and scaled down by 30%. Assign the points on the circle corresponding to a double split complementary color harmony. These colors will also cycle smoothly. Add a third circle laying 1 unit above the previous one with 12 points and assign the colors on the points according to square color harmony. this circle will also be scaled down by 30%.
