Ordinary anomalies

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The ordinary left unseen is seldom void but merely only overlooked. What we pass by without thought carry quiet substance, waiting for awareness to give it meaning.
A fleeting glance is not insignificant, just unexamined.

When we pause and look more closely, the most familiar details can show understated depth, texture and nuance.

Value isn’t necessarily in what stands out, but sometimes in what patiently remains. by @daniel_fjall

I’ve taken a sharp turn lately, and the past few months have been beautifully tumultuous. These choices have rooted me more present and awake if you will. Learning to see through this new lens, quite literally, has been both revealing and challenging.

This is a first step in that new direction. I’ve often leaned toward portraits and social compositions here, but lately I’ve been gathering quiet moments instead, still fragments of serenity. I’m letting the story arrange itself, one frame at a time.

Thank you for spending a moment with my work. I’ve never felt a strong pull to claim space online, but I do hope something here stirs a spark, a little nudge to notice, to feel, to create. taken in Gili Air Island by @daniel_fjall
