'My head is full of space junk...'
25x18cm, Oil

The way she dissolves feels so melancholic. I started exploring and found myself in a very personal place.

My favorite painting.

I love this one so much, love how intense she feels. And learned so many things in the process.

This painting is the result of a looot of trial and error over a long time, and I finally feel like I'm happy with the conbinations of colors and the atmosphere it creates.

@themarias 🪼 I don't know what the chances are that they'll see this painting, but they're not zero.

The Marías was one of the first indie bands I listened to and that got me into a whole world of similar music. I was happy to see how popular they became and everything they've achieved.💜

I made this painting a few weeks ago. What I liked the most was the atmosphere and the moon-like shape. I feel like it captures the feeling of ilistening to them.

I'mmaking a lot of stuff. I'm going to bombard you all. 🌿🌿

"I may be blind but I'll find my way"

I haven't had any strength to paint or to think about anything these days. My 14-year-old dog died and it was the saddest day of my life. A big part of me died and I felt like it changed me forever.

Since I was a child I've thought constantly about death, again because of another loss in my family, my grandmother when I was 7, and my only conclusion was that I should make the best out of this life, because there's nothing we can do about death, only feel proud of how we lived.

And that's what I try to do with this, with literature and with music, a life I can be proud of.

Every painting I dedicate to my dog Cronos, the one who showed me how to live. The best dog in the world ❤️🍂 by @daniel_ochoa.__

Nunca🍂 by @daniel_ochoa.__

'Hope is sunlight'☀️🍂

"Fragility.A writer (musician, painter, etc.) is not made of strength. A writer writes with their weakness. One of the most important books I read in my twenties was *Sculpting in Time*, by Andrei Tarkovsky. It was thanks to that book that I discovered films like *Stalker*. "You must become children," the protagonist says at one point in the film. "To pass through the Zone, you must become children." A return to purity. That is why a writer who becomes a media figure is a contradiction. Vulnerability is the opposite of the market. Love is an anti-market operation.

I believe it takes great inner strength not to lose one's focus. To remain whole; not to become cynical. Not to exercise power over others. Not to see oneself as incapacitated. The system's triumph is to incapacitate people; our personal triumph is to survive that. But we do not survive for nothing. Survival is a daily task that does not happen without effort. That is why we must work so that our words (sounds, brushstrokes) say what we mean to say—or at least come as close to it as possible."---------Fragment of "el destino libremente aceptado" from Mercedes Álvarez.

I enjoy playing with colors, but sometimes simply observing and painting the natural colors of the world is the most beautiful thing there is.

If you'd like to share it, I'd be incredibly grateful. I'm still working hard to make this dream a reality. I have a lot of hope in this project.☀️

'Days Gone Bye...'

As a kid, my dream was to draw comics. Back then — and honestly, still now — they felt like the highest form of visual art to me. Lately I’ve been rewatching The Walking Dead out of nostalgia, partly because I’ve always loved zombie stories, and partly because Tony Moore, the artist behind the first comics, was basically Jesus to me.

So even though I could talk for hours about my issues with the writing of the series — and also about the perfect moments it has — I just wanted to paint some frames I really like. This is the first one. It’s Carl. I loved drawing him, and I love hats, I have one myself.

The rest are drawings from the comic that I love, in case they make you a fan too. by @daniel_ochoa.__
