September felt like returning to myself.

Not the version of me from before everything changed.
Not the version of me who hadn’t known grief, heartbreak, death, rebirth or surrender.

This version.

The one who knows she can grieve and still laugh.
Release and still love.
Burn something down and not immediately rebuild it.
Protect her peace without explaining why.
Trust what she sees, even when no one else sees it.

September reminded me that I don’t need to become someone new.
Sometimes the awakening is simply remembering who the fuck you were before the world told you who to be.

THE BECOMING 2022 🕊️✨

Oh, 2022 Daniela…

You were beginning to understand that there was so much more to this life than what you could see.

This was the year death stopped feeling like an ending.

The year the veil became thinner.

The year Spirit started speaking a little louder…
and you finally started listening.

Your mediumship was awakening, although you didn’t fully understand what was happening yet.

You were learning to trust what you saw.
What you felt.
What you knew without knowing how you knew.

And looking at these pictures now, I can see it.

You were searching.

For stillness.
For nature.
For something beyond the physical world.
Maybe even for yourself.

You had no idea where any of it would lead you.

No idea how many versions of yourself you would shed.
How intimately you would come to know grief.
Or how sacred the space between life and transition would eventually become to you.

Four years later, I don’t look back at you wishing you knew what I know now.

I look at you with gratitude.

Because you trusted the whispers before they became a voice.

You weren’t lost.
