I miss Malta
We went climbing in Malta in January this year and the weather was really nice.
The routes were very well bolted, and the rock was really good as well.
When we visited, the Malta climbing association had not published the new book yet with the updated climbing crags/routes but there was a lot of info online + their fb group.

I thought that if we are going climbing we should rent an ATV for easy crag access + fun?? but then we quickly realised that most of the roads in Malta are highways + they drive on the left, so after 1 day of not dying we switched it with a car.

Me leading pitch 3 - 6a

Here I left my backpack open and a rat came and took a few bites from our food. I closed my backpack and then the rat chewed a hole into it :(

The sea was eating away the cliff that we were walking next to. At sunset there were a lot of tourists walking on the very edge on the cliff even tho within every 2 meters there were ☠️ signs on the cliff

On TheCrag there was a comment for this crag saying that there is a legend of a man shooting a gun at climbers /s.
While climbing this route we could hear an airsoft being fired somewhere nearby at the top. Didn’t bother us tho

Ty for reading ❤️
