while i made a pretty dumb mistake last week, i couldn’t be more grateful for an incredible junior career. though, in my instagram posts, i often forget to thank the one person that is the most instrumental in my riding career: my mother. if you ask anyone traits of my mother, hardworking and selflessness are at the top of the list. none of what i do would be possible without her. while we sometimes have our disagreements, as most parents and children do, my mother never fails to offer her unwavering support of my riding. she has given all of herself to support this habit, working tirelessly to allow me to ride the incredible horses that i’m able to. she devotes all of her time to her job and her family, all the while pushing me to become a better person. i owe my entire junior career to her.
another additional thank you goes out to @nikkimelanson17 and @nicole.marie82 . both of you have taught me everything from taking care of my horses to taking care of myself, especially when i would be hard on myself and exhausted. you guys never failed to prioritize both my and my horses health, and you never failed to make the right decisions, even when i doubted them. “grateful” is the understatement of the year for what i feel for you both.
another thank you goes out to the entire coaching team @grazingfields but specifically @k.fletch_ and @eelzbthfltchr , for never doubting my ability, the incredible coaching, and for trusting me with your 🦄 balou.
and of course, to balou, for being the most dependable, talented, determined, and arrogant (but in the best way) horse i have ever ridden. this horse has given me confidence beyond my years and has helped me achieve dreams i thought could never be in reach.
last, but certainly not least, i have to say thank you to chocolate. he taught me what it meant to truly believe in myself and trust my gut. i have never had the pleasure of riding a horse who wants to please his rider quite so badly, chonk has a heart like no other. he has taught me invaluable lessons that i will undoubtedly take beyond my junior years.
it still feels pretty surreal that it’s all over, but i cannot wait to see what ammy life has in store for me🔜 by @danielacarv_13

balou, it is an honor and a privilege to have a horse as reliable and determined as you every time you step foot in the ring. thank you for making my last new england finals one i will never forget💙 and an additional thank you to @l.bihuniakk @francesmcgg @nicole.marie82 and @nikkimelanson17 for all you’ve taught me throughout the years about both horsemanship and sportsmanship. i am forever indebted to all of you (and your brains)☺️🙏 and of course to @grazingfields @k.fletch_ @eelzbthfltchr for your support and coaching❤️onto the last! by @danielacarv_13
