Hello world! I’ve been a bit quiet over the past year since we welcomed our daughter into the world. It has been a wild time since she graced us with her presence and I have mixed feelings as we transition to a different kind of life where I balance motherhood with design, research and work. Our little one, on the other hand, has been making her transition from tiny blob to giggling and walking with absolute ease.⁠

In this time I launched the Overlay rug collection with DesignByThem that went on to become a Good Design Award Gold winner! Thank you so much to the team at @designbythem who worked so diligently on the production and marketing of this collection. Links to where you can purchase these are in my bio, or read up on the design and production processes that were involved in their creation.⁠

Next up is the FABRICATION group show at @drawspacesydney, which opens this Thursday 2nd of May at 6 pm. Co-curators @danielpressart and @sedzedz survey how drawing terminology – sketching, line, depth, and layering – compliments the potential of digital fabrication. I’m so thrilled to have my Seam and Slump ceramic vases included among the work of so many wonderful artists and colleagues.⁠

THIS FRIDAY 27th MARCH 2026:
As part of my PhD research I am leading a workshop examining how individuals understand and experience ageing in everyday life.

Attendees are asked to bring a small object that symbolises an aspect of ageing that is meaningful to you. This may relate to how you experience ageing now, how you imagine your future, or how
you see ageing in your family or community. The object might represent a change you’ve noticed in
your body or energy; a value or priority that has shifted over time; a hope or concern about your future self; a relationship or role that has evolved with age; or something that represents continuity, tradition, or legacy.

During the workshop, you will be invited to briefly discuss your chosen
object and what it represents. Then we'll get into a fun, collaborative, hands-on making activity.

No prior experience is required.

Where: UNSW Art & Design, Paddington Campus, Sherman Postgraduate Studios (level 4, F Block)
When: 11 am - 12 pm, Friday 27th March 2026
Who? Everyone is welcome, no matter their age or making experience.

Opening Thursday May 2, 6pm ✏️🤖⚡️

The core idea is how drawing terminology – sketching, line, depth, and layering – compliments the potential of digital fabrication. Artists experiment with human/machine interplays in ways where the line between the two becomes blurred, with Fabrication acting as a prompt to explore themes of the fake, the deceptive, and trickery; while also offering potential for the imagined, fantasies, myth, and storytelling.

Last year I started a PhD in design and I have since found myself swimming through the most wonderful literature including this book - Matters of Care by Maria Puig de la Bellacasa. #whatimreading
