when I was little, I learned about the concept of forever and a grand promise of a place so exceptional I would never wanna leave, and even though that was supposed to be a good thing, it made my chest feel heavy, my first essential crisis, I suppose. I thought to myself, there is no there is no way there could ever be anything so perfect that I would want it for eternity until I met you. I saw the way you looked at me & for the first time in my life in my life, I felt like I was everything I needed to be.

you love me for those things not in spite of them
and to be able to live an authentic life while being loved by the best person I’ve ever know is the gift of a lifetime
