My new @sung.low album Meringue comes out 7/4, it is up on my bandcamp for preorder + you can listen to some songs. Meringue is dedicated to the memory of my all time favorite cat friend Oliver @love_allofher. Her birthday is 7/4, she lived 16 years, she was the best to be around. Writing this album immediately after her passing up until yesterday when I finished the last of 16 paintings (one for each song) has been such a special way for me to solidify her existence into my life in so many ways. I started writing electronic music when I was 13 and started Sunglow around 20. It is the best language I have to speak and connect directly with my universe. I am not sure if what I make has worth outside of this, or serves any purpose in the big picture, but it helps me feel like I am a part of whatever we are inside of all of the time. The way this album turned out is uniquely cohesive and has a specific energy. I’m sure that has a lot to do the rapid fire improvisational style I recorded it in, or the tiny consumer keyboards I used for almost every layer, but I like to think it is just how Oliver and our memories sound in my brain. Regardless, it is the soundtrack to my tribute of love and honor to my late friend. I painted each of the songs for the album art of Meringue, swipe for the details of each. 1. Rainbow Station One of the many catnip toys Oliver loved, she used to “park” herself with her paws in the middle of the rainbow. You can still see the indent where she would lay her head down. I would see her coming up to her rainbow and say “all aboard the rainbow station!” 2. Blackbirds Oliver’s favorite video to watch was a YouTube video called Video for cats and it featured 15 minutes of blackbirds eating. We would leave it on for her if we both left the house, and she would chatter at the TV while they ate. 3. BugEye One of Oliver’s favorite catnip toys, and one that solidified her brand loyalty to the YEEEEOWWW line. She would fight BugEye a lot, so it is surprising he made it through her entire life. Oliver wasn’t the best fighter but BugEye was a great training partner. 4. Pebble This was Oliver’s felt cave that we called her “pebble”. She LOVE by @danielbradylynch

Another new song and video from me!! This one is called “Leaf”. Up on YouTube in full through the link in my bio Oliver loved this leaf pad we got her for christmas – she kicked the bugs off eventually but it remained in her top sit spots. It’s crunchy and soft, which is totally understandable. i hope you all listen and enjoy! New @sung.low song + video for Blackbirds from my album Meringue which releases 7/4/26 up on YouTube now Dedicated to the memory of Oliver Meringue @love_allofher (2009-2025) Oliver loved a video called Video for Cats on Youtube which was just a video of blackbirds eating a pile of a food for 15 minutes uninterrupted. This music video is an homage to her favorite video, which includes clips of her watching blackbirds videos (she eventually branched out from her original favorite to other seasonal blackbirds content). Link to the full video is in my bio. this album means literally everything to me. I recorded it in a really strange method ~ hit record and go layer by layer without any planning. Just switching keyboard patches on the fly and letting my thoughts and feelings reflect in the sounds ~ everything falling into whatever place it ended up. Some songs are 5 layers, some are 10-15. I recorded the entire thing with my small keyboard collection of old casios and yamahas, which made sense because over the years i mostly wrote little oliver songs and jingles on small keyboards ~ just singing and playing at her like she was the honoree of some cat award ceremony. She was a main character for nearly 1/3 of my life, and I will always miss being her bard / D.O.D (dear ole dad). ❤️‍🩹 by @danielbradylynch

it has been the most difficult and crushing thing losing my best friend & cat daughter Oliver. We said goodbye to her on 12/28, and I am still torn up. She made life so much better, and now she is gone. I hear her noises in the silence left by her absence, I feel her weight in my heart and in all of the beautiful memories we made together, but I still miss her so much. From the moment Rachael introduced me into their life, I was enamored with Oliver ~ she was perfect and goofy and personable and made everything better just by being around. I was so proud of her always just for being herself just the way she was. She was equally as proud of her mom Rachael, and I was just honored to be a part of the family. To Oliver in the digital SoulSpace — I am so grateful and proud that I was able to spend 11 of the 16+ years of your life with you as your dear old dad ~ i hope i made you proud. Hope it’s all John Candys there. tell Footie i love him and miss him and we are taking good care of his sister choux bun here.
