Our family is deeply saddened to share that Robert Barry Charlick passed away on December 27, 2025.

He will be forever remembered for his intelligence, humor, and love of music, especially Jazz. He dedicated his life to the furthering of world peace and human rights. He worked as a Professor of Political Science at Cleveland State University, helping to educate thousands of young people and as a Consultant on projects furthering democracy and equity in West Africa.

He is remembered with love by his wife of 62 years, Judith Allen Charlick, his daughter Tanya Charlick-Paley (Daniel Paley), son Daniel Charlick (Dayna Charlick) as well as his grandchildren Noah, Zachary and Brenna Charlick, Sophia Ayaz (Hadhy Ayaz) and Erica Paley.

A celebration of his life will be planned at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to support research in Lewy Body Dementia and other brain diseases:
