On my last days in PR, I made it a point to shoot more stills on the Pentax—trying to catch the beauty that often gets overlooked. This house was just outside of where I was staying. Plastered with a clear message, it held this quiet but powerful energy. Sandwiched between my Airbnb and a soon-to-be luxury condo. It made me feel a lot of things. A strange guilt, but also a deep sense of pride—for whoever owns this house and refuses to let it go.

Every day I walked past it, and every day it felt like it was asking to be seen. A small moment for resistance, resilience, and reminder.

Tu y Yo, Yo y Tu, 2025 [Shot on Portra 400 with Pentax 645]

One of my favorite moments from my time in PR. This day was filled with anxiety, but I found peace in no headphones and the sound of waves gently touching the sand and rocks. The breeze was unlike any other—like love in the air.

I hovered around this part of the beach for ten minutes, simply observing, until I felt the urge to press the shutter. I watched two people who had grown old together, just spending time with each other—no phones, no distractions, just them, fully present. I loved it.

Contrary to my usual late-morning responses, I’m up very early—pulled from sleep by a heavy chest, weighted with anxiety. So heavy, that I often just lay in silence, hoping to sleep it off. But this day was different. I was on an island I had dreamt of visiting since I was a kid.

It was 7:15 AM when I took these, just outside the B&B. The lens was foggy. No one was around. Just the sounds of my loud inner voice, roosters, and birds. The air was crisp—I had forgotten that smell, but it was perfect. Just four minutes of walking, then laying back down in awe.
