One year since we decided to take on life together. Whaat?! One year na ‘yon?!

Here are bts of our fittings, shoots, picking up veils from marketplace, sourcing risoprints in calgary for the december wedding, and walking along cougar creek with our luggages haha

Did our wedding the way we would do our trips, just fun and just us. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

december dump but it felt like a whole year… 2025.5 maybe?

Bestied so hard we married this year… twice 🤪

For our fourth anniversary last May 13, we secretly eloped in Canmore, just the two of us.

We had just enough witnesses to make the marriage official: the inn’s receptionist, Barbara (who lovingly assisted me before I walked down the aisle and played our aisle song) and our photographer, Semi (whose car turned into our bridal car to the “reception” when she found out we just took transit to the rockies 🤣)

The day before, we did a quick loop to Grotto Mountain and it was pouring. We were so worried that we won’t have some sun for the wedding. Come 8AM the next day, The Three Sisters showed up from our balcony and the ceremony started with birds literally singing while I walked down the aisle. No kidding, it literally felt magical lol.

No bach, no bridal party, no fancy glam crew, just Daniel trying so hard to zip my dress up and me trying to judge if his hair was alright. For our wedding rings, we upcycled our engagement rings and had Jackie, our officiant, do the ring warming. We all silently prayed together as she infused the rings with essential oils to bless it.

For our reception, we went to a Filipino food truck in Canmore, named “Marupork” (lol). Not gonna lie, it was fire.

It was only last Saturday when we officially celebrated our marriage with family and friends. At the end of the program, we revealed that we were already married for 7 months. Haha!

It was really important for us that everyone we loved celebrated with us, but since not everyone can make it (and we really wanted to tie the knot already for our fourth anniv during our favorite season: Spring), might as well just do the wedding for us, just us. Cos we feel like it. And it felt right. Then we can celebrate and re-marry each other for as much as we like later on.

Needless to say, our wedding last Saturday turned out to be everything we wanted it to be. Just the important people in our lives, including our virtual guests from halfway around the world.
