After 9 years of living in Portland, I moved back to So Cal to be closer to my parents. I wanted to spend as much time with them as possible while we’re all still healthy and present. Also to be closer to the rest of my family, friends, and bands. I love Portland and will miss it very much, even though it was for sure the most difficult time of my life. I will miss many things - the people I love, the air quality (when there are no fires), living somewhere walkable, the tap water, nature, hikes, how slow ppl drive, the mellow vibes brah, etc. It’s very hard to be optimistic about the future in the bigger picture, but I’m excited about the plans I’ve made, working and traveling more, and playing as much music as possible. There are some extremely awesome things planned and in the works for next year that I can’t wait to experience and share with everyone. Some brand new stuff, revisiting some old formative stuff, and doing some more of the same things from the last couple years. Check in with your family and friends, tell them you love them, make plans to see them. Enjoy the mundane drives, turn it up louder, don’t take your health for granted, spread joy, show some fucking tenderness. We don’t know when our time is up so try to make the most of it when you’re able. by @danieldavidpouliot

Japan Day 3 - Nagoya. Temples, Deer, Gigs. As anyone who has traveled or toured over here knows, the culture is so steeped in tradition you feel like you step into a time traveling machine when looking at these sacred spaces. We never want to go home. by @danieldavidpouliot
