FATAL TYPE Post Pro

Danke an Marc Wallenta, Helen-Lisanne Weichert, Else Engelmann, @arndhrng @friedrichhaustein @fewege

FATAL TYPE Behind The Scenes

beginnings of august: ode to the trees
the gentle shoulder touch might tell you - I have been ADing again ( for a small commercial )

You can see the results here: @lenafidlr or @noainvision

It was a pleasure dilly dally through woods with @lenafidlr
Those were fun days with a wholesome crew and cast. I was really glad having found @claralisettesjolin as our wild souls in the woods - thank you and I hope to catch a performance of yours sometime!

really really got me excited for film projects again by @danieldrosdek

winter twenty-three
to spring twenty-four

was a strange time, very mixed: after a rough patch I've been illustrating and then fanboyed over a funny old man, good dogs on public transport, good food, good friends by @danieldrosdek

It is the companions
so gentle, so patient,
who make every breath feel less heavy
as though we breeze
through scandinavian air

even in the stale city's
uptight schedules.

To the smiles
and heart-to-hearts,
to the friendship narrative
and those who inhabit it

even when the road
gets tangled up with harder paths. by @danieldrosdek

Despite the overall opinion, I find summer to be the trickiest of all seasons.
There is something painfully cruel about feeling blue under a sunlit sky, when streets are bustling and parks flourish.
Looking for comfort between the sheets of one's bed suddenly became unbearable as well. Instead of sheets, there was only the weight of heat pushing down on aspiration in between unplastered walls.
I traded days for nights and found new shades of beige on said wall. The months felt to blend into a memory of being a backseat driver. I could not care for conversation because even the people I loved seemed a broken record, and I dreaded the question “what are you up to?”.
I let others' voices soar, while mine found solace in contemplation.

Ironically, summer turned around when I failed my exam.
It suddenly became a reflection of everything I could not bring myself to care about. In the past years, anxiety was a companion, perhaps a toxic one, yet a companion nonetheless. Since the two of us parted ways a few years ago, I am trying to hear which voice is stirring me on, when it is not fear, whispering.

I found myself visiting friends again, chatting optimistically. Having an answer to “what are you up to?”
For what it's worth, I will cling onto that.
_
I wanted to share that glimpse into the past months before any of the upbeat pictures find a place here - because I find it concerning when we only paint these very high-functional optimistic pictures of life. by @danieldrosdek
