5 years ago in the thick of running an agency, just a couple months before the pandemic, I launched my consulting and speaking offering as @DanielDoes.co — but the path was far from linear 😅

Kicking off 2025 it’s finally become my main focus, accompanied by teaching, and training through @thegoodgrowth.company.

It’s been a journey. I couldn’t be more excited about this new chapter so far and all that’s brewing 🍵 taken in Toronto, Ontario by @danielfrancavilla

Even the biggest founders take it seriously.

We’re seeing the rise of founder-led marketing. If you’ve always been behind the scenes as a founder until now, 2025 is your year to leverage yourself for your organization and businesses growth.

Personal branding isn’t just for @Zuck.
You can build one and benefit too.

The magic happens at the intersections.

That’s why I don’t do only one thing.

As a founder of a nonprofit and multiple businesses, I’ve always seen ways to collaborate and cross-pollinate ideas.

I work at the intersections of Business + Social Impact, Art + Advertising, Education + Mentorship, Purpose + Profit, Creativity + Content, Youth + Social Good, and Design + Strategy.

The benefit of working at the intersection of industries and practices is new ideas, innovation and collaboration.

Now as a brand strategist and marketing advisor, I apply my learnings from all industries.

We’re distracted by tech and tools and not focusing on the fundamentals of marketing and branding.

Here’s why I’ve been able to advise and build strategies for brands and organizations in such a range of industries. (And yes there’s always exceptions, and deep subject-matter expertise matters, but the principles don’t change). taken in Muskoka, Ontario by @danielfrancavilla

Extremely fortunate to have had Nonno in my life for 36 years.

—————————

Guido Pietro Francavilla
January 18, 1937 — July 10, 2026

Born in Aprigliano, Calabria, Italy, Guido built a life defined by hard work, unwavering devotion to his family, and simple joys that brought him happiness.

Guido was the beloved husband of Gina, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. He was a devoted father to Joe (Rosemary) and Claire (Lou), and a proud and loving Nonno to Daniel (Dianne), Kristen (Joe), Michael, and Jenna. Nothing brought Guido greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to attend their sporting events from soccer to hockey, and celebrated their achievements, cheering them on with immense pride and unconditional love.

He had a lifelong passion for soccer, enjoyed trying his luck with lottery tickets, and took great pride in caring for his beloved fig trees.

Guido had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether family stopped by or friends gathered for a visit, he was happiest behind his espresso machine, preparing cappuccinos with care and ensuring no guest ever left without a warm drink and good conversation.

Above all else, family was Guido’s greatest treasure. His love, guidance, quiet strength, and unwavering support shaped the lives of those around him.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication, traditions he passed down, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. by @danielfrancavilla

How do you plan for a business, industry and economy that’s changing every single day?

One page at a time.

Javon uses a proper sketchbook with a pen.
I’m using a notebook with an artist’s marker.
He started in accounting, I started in graphic design.
Both of those industries now have software and tools that automate a significant portion of the workflow.
Today we’re each building businesses in content.

But it’s never just one thing at a time.
Always open to possibilities and collaboration.
Things are changing fast.
So you gotta go deep into what you’re good at and grow quickly, while keeping one eye looking at what’s next.

Can’t this all be done remotely, or without people or paper?
That’s not the goal. Not mine, at least.

There was a time when you’d only hear from a CEO or founder during a crisis or maybe the occasional press release. That ended long ago. Today, we’re seeing founder-led content as a major marketing and growth priority.

For founders, this doesn’t mean turning your entire calendar into a content calendar. It can look like sharing what you’re already seeing in the market, answering the questions prospects keep asking, explaining how you think about the problem you solve, or telling the story behind a decision your company made.

It shows up everywhere from LinkedIn posts and newsletter blurbs to sales follow-ups, website copy, webinars, podcast clips, and social posts.

I’ve seen how founders showing up consistently in content:
Gives your sales team clearer language.
Helps prospects understand your point of view before the first call.
Creates trust with people who are not ready to buy yet, but are paying attention. It makes your company easier to refer, remember and believe in.

For founders, the goal is not to post more for the sake of being visible, it’s to make your thinking easier to find.

When people understand how you see their problem, they’re more likely to trust how you solve it.

Over the last few years I’ve had the opportunity to speak to hundreds of founders and marketers about the benefits and strategies behind this.

This year I launched @ClarityContent.ca to make this easy for founders, B2B business owners and their marketing teams. taken in Queen and Spadina by @danielfrancavilla

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

You can’t control what’s thrown your way, but you can try to control how you react and address it.

Take a mindful moment, especially when it feels you can’t afford to.

My dad has always modelled doing what it takes to get things done, prioritizing what matters, and not complaining along the way. No matter how busy or how hard it is, he shows up… whether it’s riding 200km in the rain last week, staying up to help me struggle through math homework, being a reliable husband and son himself, or coaching my soccer practice even when I was the kid who really didn’t want to run.
