From running around Lancaster with a traffic cone on my head in my student days to sponsoring the city’s football team now I’m allegedly all grown up ⚽️

Never stop being a big kid 😄

At this moment 10% of the books in the top 100 Psychological Thriller Chart are written by the same person who used to write slightly bizarre stories as a child for his parents to read ✍🏻 😅

No idea why ‘Our Car’ never became a bestseller but it’s now in a box in my attic if anybody wants to read it 🙈

Hello readers, it’s been a while! So where have I been hiding all this time?

Well, one of the places was in a studio in Bury, during which I featured in an episode of Rory’s Book Club on Bury FM! 📻

It was a very fun experience to be on the airwaves and discuss my writing journey, The Doctor’s Wife, and all sorts of other authorly things, in between several very good songs! 🎶

I’ve also been hard at work writing a new book (of course!), as well as preparing to release a new short story this weekend which you may have heard about if you receive my weekly newsletter 📧

i’ll try and be more active on here again now that I’m back in the habit of posting! See you soon! ☺️

Hurst in Harrogate! 📚

My first trip to Theakston Crime Writing Festival and not sure why I have waited so long! A lovely place, lovely people and lots of book bits! 🎉

The highlight was being one of the authors to take part in Come Dine With Me - I did not cook, so nobody died! 👨🏻‍🍳

Great to see the @bookouture team, as well as lots of authors and readers! ✍🏻

I guess Yorkshire’s not so bad after all 😜

Who needs a holiday when the weather is like this? 😎🌞

Me because I’m still in Bolton 😂

My latest book, Our Perfect Holiday, is the perfect read for summer - full of more twists and turns than you can shake a bottle of suncream at 😅

It’s also now in the Top 20 of the UK Kindle store, so thank you so much if you have been reading it! ☺️

If you’re looking for something to get you through this heatwave, you can find the book on Amazon 👀

Stay cool, stay hydrated and stay with psychological thrillers, because they’re the best! 📚😱
