A great monologue doesn’t book the role. Being Puerto Rican is more than where I’m from. It's rhythm in my veins, sabor in my hands, and strength in my spirit. 🇵🇷 Being an Afro-Latina is a blessing I carry with pride. My skin, my curls, my roots; they tell stories of resilience, of ancestors who survived, who built, who created beauty out of struggle. I am the product of so much history, so much culture, so much power.And yes… I’ve faced racism. Even from our own people. Colorism is real, and sometimes the hurt hits deeper when it comes from within your own community. But instead of letting it shrink me, it made me stand taller. It made me learn my history. It made me love my Blackness louder. It made me understand that my existence is not something to question. It’s something to celebrate!I am proud of my African roots.I am proud of my Boricua blood.I am proud of every layer of heritage that lives inside of me.There is so much richness in who I am. So much flavor, so much music, so much faith, so much resilience. I don’t just represent one story, I represent many. ✨Like wine, aging is a slow, controlled chemical process that transforms the raw, sometimes harsh elements of a young wine into something more nuanced, smooth, and complex. ✨To grow healthy, vibrant roses, you must provide at least 6 hours of full sun daily, plant in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil and water consistently at the base to keep soil moist, avoiding foliage.
