I’m proud to be an advocate for the @colorectalcanceralliance because colorectal cancer is no longer just an “older person’s disease.” Yesterday at the age of 44, I had my second colonoscopy. Screening has been important for me because my father was diagnosed with colon cancer at the age of 65.

The statistics are alarming, especially for people under 50. My family was personally affected in 2020 when my late husband was diagnosed with colorectal cancer at age 46.

📌 Colorectal cancer is now the DEADLIEST cancer for men and women under age 50.
📌 Rates in adults under 50 have been rising nearly 3% every year since 2013.
📌 About 75% of younger adults diagnosed are already in advanced stages because symptoms are often overlooked or dismissed.

This disease does not care if you’re “too young,” healthy, active, or busy raising a family.

Please pay attention to symptoms like:
• blood in stool
• changes in bowel habits
• unexplained weight loss
• ongoing stomach pain or fatigue

And please don’t avoid screening out of fear or embarrassment. A colonoscopy can literally save your life! Early detection changes everything.

If you’re 45+, talk to your doctor about screening. If you have symptoms or family history, advocate for yourself sooner.

Awareness matters. Conversations matter. Prevention matters. 💙

Some couples just have a light about them… and from the second I met these two, it was nonstop laughter. The kind that feels easy, genuine, and completely contagious. Being around them just makes you feel good.

It’s so special getting to witness a love like this up close—the way they look at each other, the way they move together, the joy they carry so naturally.

I’m beyond grateful I get to capture their wedding this September. I already know it’s going to be filled with so much love 🤍

#ProjectJoy was a complete slowing down. It was the least active I’ve ever been on a trip. You never realize how tired you are until you stop doing all the things and start feeling. Our nervous systems are so hard wired for modern chaos that sustained peace feels foreign. Grateful for the many sandy miles walked and the clarity gained.
