Welcome to Rooted 2.0 💃🏽😌

So many pictures to share, so much love. Yesterday was everything! I’ll be flooding yal this week with pictures on pictures because it’s a celebration🍾 🎉 by @danielleakrie

When people ask-
“ how has married life been?”

I respond-
“The best, most beautiful thing I’ve ever done and I truly wish this kind of love and joy for everyone, it has its moments but the good outshines anything dumb lol”

It’s the truth though. Marriage is truly indescribable until you become married and one with a person. My person. Our story is unique and if you’ve had the chance to ask either of us we share proudly about the pursuit and the wait. About the ways we have chosen to honor God in our relationship and in one another.

Emiola, I adore you. I appreciate you more and more daily. You show me the hard things within myself and challenge me to not settle and fight for my purpose.

I love you, I love you 🫶🏽

Happy 3 months hubby🥰 by @danielleakrie

This was the biggest outreach thus far at Light Of Life Rescue Mission. Each time we have the opportunity to serve there we TOP the previous time.

2.5-3 hours, 24 haircuts and lots of care.

Words can’t express what it means to uplift our neighbors with our gifts. If you’ve had the opportunity to ever get your hair done then you know the impact it can make and how it can boost your moral.

One thing RHS will do is serve the community. Whether 20+ plus ppl join in or if it’s 1 person, we will serve. Thankful for the stylists that joined in and our volunteers at the tables making sure everyone got your donations. Everyone left with a bag filled with hygiene products, toiletries, aluminum blankets, hats, scarves, underwear, brushes/combs, hand warmers, shoes, and so so much more.

To our people who donated, thank you- I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Your donations went where you weren’t able to and it was greatly appreciated.

The volunteers, thank you for taking time on a Monday during work to give freely. Sweep the floors, make sure every person got a bag and a haircut.

The RHS team & other stylists, you aren’t forced to come and you choose to wake up on your off day to give free haircuts. You come with a good attitude, giving your best and do what needs to be done to ensure every guest has a good experience in your chair there. Many laughs and moments we have to pivot but you remain in good spirits ready to go.

Thank you to our partners at UPMC that we have been able to create 3 successful events.

As the owner of RHS, I am proud that we are able to go beyond our four walls and be impactful. If anyone knows me, knows I have a heart for missions (community work) and helping others. Thank you Jesus, that I get the opportunity to share my gifts.

“10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. “ 1 Peter 4:1-11

Because the appointment is intentional. ✨

From the second you book the appointment, we send you a consult form. It’s thought out with intention to get to know you thoroughly. We read it BEFORE the appointment to become familiar with you & your goals. So, when you come we are prepared specially for- you.

Each appointment from then on is to build upon what we spoke about from the previous appointment. It’s a partnership, you want to continue to see results? Listen to your stylists professional recommendations and be CONSISTENT!

This was our guests first visit and set her up for success.I can’t WAIT to see how she thrives between appointments with all we spoke on.

High impact blonding session while keeping the curl healthy! 💛💛

One thing we love at RHS is a good color session, but what we love more is guests who are ready to commit to maintaining a healthy blonde. With that, we can make magic happen 🪄

It takes a regimen- that comes from your stylist!

Curly hair already can lack moisture retention and from that can cause dry/brittle hair. So, adding a blonde to the hair we want to make sure your hair is in good health before processing. So….if you want to start your journey to healthy hair and eventually color😉 book a consult and we can create a regimen specifically for you!

Save this for your next color inspo to show your stylist 🤌🏽✨

Double processed, custom color copper by @danielleakrie 🤩 can we just take a moment for the COPPER🧡 it’s giving everything fall.

In this color we lifted the color out lightening all over to make her base even, then we deposited this copper color all over. Mixing A FEW different colors to create this masterpiece.

Just know this color requires MAINTENANCE. Professional products to take home and care for it properly at home. It requires salon visits to ensure your hair remains healthy through the process. by @danielleakrie

Happy fall🍂🍁

We cut off 6 inches and made a brighter face frame to add a pop. Customizable blonde will always be our priority in creating something that fits YOU😍

Her blonde has been a collab with Jerlline and Danielle over time, with her going between both stylist. Yes, you get great service, education and quality with every stylist. ✨

“Though the seasons change, your love remains”

Ugh- so many memories from this summer, hard to stop and pick and choose🥹 this summer marked me, for real.

Great times celebrating my brother becoming a husband🤗, family outings, deepening relationships with those new and old, finding a new church that has breathed LIFE into me, loving my man, cooking with Judie (I think that has become one of our favorite things🥹), Judah killing it in soccer and baseball (am I biased? Probably😅), concerts, birthdays, business trips, utilizing the park and back yard so much, pivoting, going to all the museums, quick girls trip, good food, learning, reading, coloring, hiking, taking time to be alone anddddd loving the Lord more and more. Many highlights this summer, lots of growth and development.

Ending this quarter with strength, determination and clarity! The Lord did a whole John 15, cut off what wasn’t producing, and what was- he pruned to bear more fruit. Things look different because they are. It hurt, but it challenged me to go forward because the Lord wasn’t finished with me yet. The challenge to go forward “despite,” and I lacked nothing - definitely a lot’s wife situation 😭. We had to go forward and not look back. The testimonies I’ll have to share😮‍💨😮‍💨 the Lord made sure that old things won’t come back and my mind renewed. I am marked, I can’t and won’t go back. Shoutout to Jesus Christ, my husband, my family and friends to keeping me held and kept.

Going into the next quarter full: 40 under 40 honoree, another light of life outreach (missions is in my dna & im excited for more opportunities), new mentorship opportunities and a salon full of life (extensions will be dropping soon🤭), & a monthly themed dinner series starting next month🍴. My family sustained and kept, friendships in bloom and looking to serve in my church.

Blonde OBSESSED🤩🤩

Everything about this was custom, maintaining depth while creating universal brightness. 🔆

Can you tell how much she loved her hair? We are both IN LOVE with the final results. This is one you MUST swipe to see all the b&a ✨

‼️ITS TIMMMEEEE‼️

One thing RHS won’t stop doing is showing up in the community. What a blessing it is to share our gifts to build people up both inside and outside of the salon.

This years outreach is October 19th! If you are a barber or stylist and want to join us- DM me, we would LOVE to have you! The more the merrier🙏🏽 in 2.5 hours we did 27 men’s and women’s haircuts.

THEN through YOUR giving- we gave feminine hygiene products, toothbrushes, socks, chapsticks, aluminum blankets, soap, hats and MORE! Everything was given away and blessed so so many! LINK IN BIO!

Rooted in the community round 3! Join in, be apart of this wonderful opportunity‼️🙏🏽 by @danielleakrie

SOUND ON🔉 This is why we do, what we do. 🥹🫶🏽
Do you see her confidence shift? Ahh, we love IT!

It’s more than hair, it’s being seen, being heard and getting what you asked for. It’s understanding the guest, their lifestyle and their experience with their hair on the day to day. We then consult, agree to a plan and execute.

So when you see questionnaires and consult forms for our services when you book, it’s because we care! We really do. It helps us understand you and helps us be even more prepared for your experience. The trust starts before the service and we “earn the right” upon meeting. Guest experience is apart of the regimen.

I love that our guest LOVED her hair- stay tuned for her new color, we are gassed. 😍🙈

The big chop! Trying something new with our videos, more in front, more education to come and real life behind the chair.

Always laughs, a good time, education and of course…GREAT HAIR! 🤩

We are honored that people choose RHS to be educated, start their healthy hair journey and find value in us. We truly enjoy every consultation, question and providing a beautiful guest experience from start to finish.

Intentional & Rooted✨
