It only took fourteen months, nine hearings and eight deferrals but Congratulations Kelly Tractor! Condolences Environmentally sensitive wetlands! by @daniellecohenhiggins

Since my first day in office, I’ve fought against development way west of our busway and outside of our Urban Development Boundary (UDB). Here, in Nov, there was a proposal to have the county pay to pave private dirt roads that just happened to barrier 960 acres of land that was subject to dormant but pending application to move the UDB.

Sure enough, that application is no longer dormant and coming back before the Board. Moreover, the Aligned application to move the UDB is also back but under a new name, Dade Land Advisors. Different day. Different name but my position remains the same- Hold The Line.

We will keep you posted as these applications move through the process at the Board. #holdtheline by @daniellecohenhiggins

Ya so….for me, on this, it’s a easy and a hard no 👎🏽 by @daniellecohenhiggins

I attended the two great aviation conventions hosted in our County, the World Travel Expo (WTE) and the TIACA Forum. At WTE, the administration unveiled new AI technology, Kalé, designed to improve cargo processing times, reduce cargo wait times, and strengthen the readiness of Miami International Airport.

Innovation is essential to keeping our airport competitive and meeting the growing demands of global travel and trade. I was also proud to welcome TIACA (The International Air Cargo Association) to Miami-Dade County as we continue breaking records and positioning our County as the global hub for aviation, cargo, and commerce. @wtemiami by @daniellecohenhiggins

Congratulations to the Town of Cutler (Gets It Done) Bay!! No easy feat and yes after some time (but not for lack of effort and vision) today, we cut the ribbon to celebrate the fact that, with resident buy in and great leadership, the transformative Legacy Park is on its way! @townofcutlerbay by @daniellecohenhiggins

I had the pleasure of touring the all girls campus of Yeshiva Elementary School with Rabbi Deon Nathan and Melissa Glaser. From school choice to security, we discussed many pressing topics facing our educational system and our Jewish community. The highlight for me was the love and light from every young girl I had the joy of meeting. As one diverse beautiful community here in Miami Dade, we will rise above the present challenges and we will do so together. by @daniellecohenhiggins

Today, we welcomed Pastor Stipe from Christ Fellowship Palmetto Bay at my invitation, to open this morning’s commission hearing with prayer. Thank you Pastor for your beautiful inspiring words! We were blessed to have you! @cfmiami @tuckstipe by @daniellecohenhiggins

Good afternoon friends and residents here is your @miamidadebcc Recap.

A few items discussed today’s hearing:

✔️ Doral Resource Recovery Facility Mayor Veto
✔️ Street Light Repairs
✔️ PortMiami Berth 10 Agreement by @daniellecohenhiggins

The ‘Sand in My Shoes’ Award given annually by the Greater Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce is one of the highest honors an individual can receive. I was proud to be in the room, with close to a thousand other professionals, as this year’s recipient, Cesar Alvarez, received his well-deserved recognition. I’ve known Cesar for many years having started my legal career at the law firm he helped build into the juggernaut it is today, Greenberg Traurig. Congratulations Cesar! I, along with so many, are proud to have the privilege of knowing you! @miami_chamber by @daniellecohenhiggins

We officially welcomed and cut the ribbon on the 200th Bridge in Miami Dade County, the Snowden Pedestrian Bridge in District 8 and Palmetto Bay! Thank you again to everyone who made this project a reality and a success! @gomiamidade by @daniellecohenhiggins

At yesterday’s Spain US Chamber of Commerce Infrastructure Summit, I discussed the future of major infrastructure projects and the need for Miami Dade County to improve our relationship with the private sector. Failing to do so will cost the residents of our county. When the private sector opts simply not to participate in bidding, we lose the opportunity to receive the best products and/or services. Our residents deserve the best. We must create and foster an environment to invite and welcome the best. @spainuschamberofcommerce by @daniellecohenhiggins
