Hopefully it is as obvious to you as it has become to me: this small ration of days is not spare change from a careless God. but a seed packet pressed into our palms. We are to plant.
Love is a stubborn garden behind an apartment building, crooked and light starved, choked with overwatered apologies and the weeds of unsaid things. I find myself staring at its green defiance, tempted to touch the proof of it

We are given so little time it feels almost rude, a handful of decades to practice gentleness in a world that drills us for war, and yet the body keeps bending toward love, eyes widening at the sight of it, mouth watering for it to last, becoming whatever to be its kin.

For me, today, the smallest tenderness is a revolution, and I am relieved to recognize it that is to say I will not be drafted for our ends by @daniellegazi
