I love that homecoming has grown, but the amount of steps we have to take now ( and still not see everyone) is wild! 😩😩We can’t just show up anymore, gotta start prepping our bodies for the weekend! #PVAMU150 #MillennialLife #DruHill #40Club #HBCUHomecoming @pvamu @pvamualumnirelations taken in Houston, Texas by @daniellehooey

We attended 1013 Day on the farm with @pvamucafnr at @pvamu! I never imagined I would attend a birthday celebration for a heifer! 😊 We learned a lot about agriculture (it was actually my 1st time visiting the farm 🤦🏾‍♀️) and enjoyed sliders prepared by @thenickelbar_grill @prince_beef taken in PVAMU College of Agriculture Food & Natural Resources by @daniellehooey

☀️ It’s another MARVELOUS MONDAY! ❤️

Here’s something I’ve been thinking about lately: The words we speak matter.

Sometimes we don’t even realize how much negativity we speak over ourselves, our circumstances, and our future.

“I’m so tired.”
“Nothing ever works out.”
“I’ll never get it together.”
“This is going to be a terrible day.”

But what if we became more intentional about the words we use?

Instead of focusing on everything that could go wrong, let’s make room for what could go RIGHT! 🙌🏾

Speak peace over your mind.
Speak joy into your surroundings.
Speak possibility over your future.
And don’t forget to speak kindly to YOURSELF. 💕

Now, that doesn’t mean every day will be easy or everything will go according to plan. But we can choose words that give us hope, encourage us to keep going, and remind us that better days are possible.

Your words have power. Use them to build yourself and others up! ❤️

Have a MARVELOUS Monday! ☀️

Sometimes we make joy way too complicated. ❤️

We tell ourselves we’ll feel good when the problem is solved, when the goal is reached, when the schedule slows down, when the money is right, when everything finally falls into place…

But what about today?

Today doesn’t have to be perfect to have something good in it. ☀️

A good conversation.
A really good laugh.
Your favorite song in the car.
A meal you enjoy.
A hug from somebody you love.
Five quiet minutes to yourself.
Simply being here to experience another day. 🙌🏾

Don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you allow yourself to enjoy your life.

There’s still good to find today. Go find it. ❤️

Have a MARVELOUS Monday! ☀️
