Why are we here? Being born into the death of my father meant my childhood was spent believing we were born to die. It’s taken a lot of inner work my whole life to understand that the best way to heal is to live and the best way to live is to connect, share, and be radically vulnerable and honest about ourselves and ask the same of each other. Carrying Cazimi in luxury thanks to @artipoppe 🖤🤍 I didn’t think I’d be so picky about a carrier but bb girl wants to be on me 24/7 😵‍💫 and after trying three different ones that were purely utilitarian (read: not cute) and/or painful on my shoulders, I get why this one is so well-reviewed! The padding is genuinely supportive and the cashmere/cotton/silk blend is so soft and lightweight. Truly obsessed with how comfortable it is for both me and Z! #gifted #artipoppe

if you had told past me that I’d love my pregnancy experience, I would have never believed you. My own fears around having a baby only ever painted the picture of pregnancy as miserable and chaotic — which it can be sometimes! 40+ weeks later, i’m looking back and am mind-blown at the roller coaster of experiences — mental, emotional and physical — women go through to arrive at childbirth… just to immediately jump onto another crazy lifelong ride that is motherhood. So happy that nature gives you 9 months to bloom into the mother you’re meant to be. So far, for me, that’s a mom who cries most days and barely sleeps at night but is also so excited and grateful for every moment, good and bad, with bb Zimi 💕 by @danielleodiamar

Society loves to write off beauty, fashion and all things artistic/Venusian/feminine as shallow but writing this essay about finding ways to connect to my dad for the @thecut was such a potent reminder that these can be the most enriching and connective elements of our day to day lives. Looking back at learning how to understand and communicate in an environment of unexpressed emotions as an undiagnosed neurodivergent kid, these forms of self expression were the few tools I had to escape the grips of loneliness. It’s amazing to look back and realize how continuing to focus and nurture those aspects of my life on both a personal and professional level is a way of honoring my inner child and a side of my dad he never got to express openly 🤍 Full essay linked in my bio. by @danielleodiamar

childhood dream job 🤝 new career path
• little me still can’t believe we accomplished our dream job of working at a magazine
• but when i left @allure in 2020 i didn’t know what was next but i kept working on myself, stayed patient and trusted my intuition
• i’m so grateful that intuition lead me to different jobs working with brands on their influencer & creator projects because they inspired something in me i hadn’t felt since i was a little girl dreaming about working in magazines, beauty and fashion
• it feels so special to have the support from my past role as i move into this next chapter in my life and career
• reminder: follow your dreams and then when you achieve them, keep dreaming, keep working, keep growing!
