What a way to close out this year. The final months brought an unforgettable experience. From September to the end of November, I had the privilege of running for Vice Chair English of Young Liberals of Canada Ontario. This was a brand new challenge for me, a province wide race I had never taken on before. The pressure was real, the stakes felt bigger than a title, and I knew I was stepping into something that demanded everything I had.For three months I was on the road nonstop, driving across Ontario again and again. U of T, Waterloo, Laurier, McMaster, TMU, Guelph, Windsor, Queens, and all the way to Ottawa. Every campus event, every meetup, every late night conversation reminded me why I fell in love with politics in the first place. People who show up, people who speak up, and people who choose to build something better together.I ran this race at 18, often one of the youngest people in the room, going up against candidates with four to five plus years of experience ahead of me. That could have been intimidating, but instead it became fuel. I proved to myself that I belong at those tables, that I can compete at that level, and that my voice matters right now, not someday. And when one of those experienced candidates chose to endorse me at the end, it was not just validating, it was a reminder of what is possible when I bet on myself and do the work. Here is what this journey taught me most. Titles matter. They open doors and create platforms. But the relationships you build along the way, the trust, the friendships, the shared purpose, are what truly last and what actually change things. Those relationships are the real win. by @danielmojarrab
