This work was born from thoughts about the power of visual expression โ€“ how a mark on the skin can be much more than just ink. During the work process, I tried to deal with the question of how much symbols we choose can embody our desires? My belief is that tattoos have a deeper impact than we are aware of โ€“ they are not just decoration, but a personal manifesto, a statement, a statement that is engraved in the body and mind. I took this idea in the direction of video art, in which the word โ€œManifestโ€ โ€“ which means to declare, demonstrate, embody โ€“ gradually takes shape, like a tattoo being created: from a single dot, to lines, spots, until a complete embodiment. The word appears in different styles, renewing and changing every few seconds, like ideas that develop and grow in our minds. Being part of this exhibition was a great opportunity for me to expand my thinking about identity, symbols and personal expression.
