Finally here, it’s worth the week long wait if you ask me.👨🏾‍🍳😏

It’s been a week since I turned twenty.

I’ve had enough time to sit with the moment.

Twenty years isn’t a lifetime, but it’s long enough to know that life is far less about collecting moments and far more about becoming.

Somewhere between childhood and now, I’ve learnt that God is a perfect Father, my perfect Father,the God of my journey...That people are gifts to be stewarded, not merely encountered. That love is best seen in consistency, not grand gestures. That service isn’t about being seen...it’s about leaving people better than you met them. And that legacy isn’t built someday; it’s hidden in the ordinary decisions we make every day.

Looking back, I don’t just see milestones. I see mercy. I see prayers I didn’t know were being answered. I see people God intentionally placed in my story. I see a boy being patiently shaped into a man.

If these first two decades have taught me anything, it’s that becoming never really ends. There is always more of God to know, more people to love, more wisdom to gain, more lives to serve, and more of myself to surrender.

Twenty feels less like an arrival and more like an invitation.

And for that, I’m deeply grateful.

Here’s to grace, growth, and everything God is still writing in His little boy life.🧎🏽

D-DAY is here🔥

I learnt from one of Dr. Myles Munroe’s teachings on God’s Original Purpose.

Do you know that there is nothing on the Earth; no system, no belief, no concept, no theory, no philosophy, no organization, not even RELIGION can completely unveil the Original Purpose of man EXCEPT a true RELATIONSHIP with the Creator.

There is something about this meeting that will not just make us understand all this but it will lead into a Journey of being committed and devoted to the Source and Creator.

This caption is so dear to my heart!🥹

Each of these people is someone God has, at different times, used to remind me that life becomes so much more beautiful when we allow Him to father us.
Every year at A Weekend For Jesus, we intentionally delve into the cardinal areas that shape us as young people. This year, God has graciously surrounded us with people whose lives are living testimonies of what it looks like to walk with Him in these areas.
@ayanfeoluwa_re has discipled, befriended and fathered me for the last four years, and his life continually reflects the beauty of surrender. At AWFJ, he’ll be helping us explore the culture of honour in a generation fast losing sight of its importance. We’ll talk about honouring our parents while navigating the differences that can come with a generation gap. How do we honour without losing our voice? Communicate without becoming disrespectful? Navigate disagreement while preserving the relationship?
@danieloyebowale_ is the friend whose head I would genuinely pay to visit! 😂 His depth of wisdom is remarkable. Daniel fears God deeply, and I have watched that reverence produce a beautiful standard of excellence in his life. He’ll be helping us explore healthy spirituality and what it means to remain at the centre of God’s will, asking: “What if God actually wants more for me?”
@moyosore_oladija’s salvation story inspires me every time. She tells it with honesty and vulnerability, and her testimony is one many young people need to hear. Having walked through struggles with lust and sexual sin early in her journey with Christ, she carries a powerful message: freedom is possible. She’ll be walking us through deliverance, purity and life beyond sexual addictions.
And @chiaza.anokwu is my friend whose innovation, business acumen and expertise have been used by God to shake the mountain of finances. As a serial entrepreneur who understands God’s heart and the principles of stewardship, she’ll be taking us into the practical conversations we need about money, wealth and financial responsibility. by @danieloyebowale_
