Yesterday was my ten year skateboarding anniversary! I went down to Highvalley Skateworld to skate with @valeriakechichian who I had seen in some longboarding videos. I was very much in to longboarding at the time but had sort of slowly started gravitating towards "regular" skateboarding. Watching people carve around in the bowls and skating the ditch myself got me so stoked and this was the start of me skateboarding again after a break for 25 years.  Skateboarding has given me so much. A purpose, a sense of belonging, real friendships - a life. Thank YOU skateboarding! ❤️ Picture 1: FS Air in Bryggeriet today Pic 2: Me and Valeria in Highvalley Pic 3: The sesh when I actually figured out how to carve around in a bowl, late October 2016 by @danielskates

This summer I've decided to try to get an Invert / handplant in every park I skate that has vert-ish conditions, as a way to get better at doing them in all different places. Handplant #3: From a couple of weeks ago in Varbergs old skatepark, Breared. Really stoked on this one cause when I started trying it I was having major issues making it up to coping - it took a while to find the timing. But once I did it only took a few tries. I am really happy about how smooth and effortless the make was - it certainly helps with a wall that goes all the way to vert! Think this might be my first Invert in a bowl corner. #handplantsummer #vertisnotdead #skateboardingisfun by @danielskates

This summer I've decided to try to get an Invert / handplant in every park I skate that has vert-ish conditions, as a way to get better at doing them in all different places. Handplant #2: This one is from Värnamo, easily one of the best bowls in Sweden, with really heavy granite coping! I haven't quite worked up the courage to handplant the bowl corner yet, but I was quite happy to get this one in the big square section. #handplantsummer #skateboard #thankyouskateboarding #skateboardingisfun by @danielskates
