Bad end to my season.
After the regional meet on Thursday I had a bad performance with some issues leading up to the race involving problems around my sleep, physical health and issues around my mental state leading up to the race. This could not have come at a worse time as this has been the race I was training to do well at for over the last 9 months. Along with that my overall season did not go as planned and each race had a different problems leading to bad performances throughout my season. I’m happy with the improvement I have made over the past year and was excited that this was my first year leading the team both by time and as a captain but it still sucks knowing the potential I had and that I could have run much faster. I am disappointed in the fact that I was not able to qualify for state especially knowing I had the talent and put in the work to be able to make it this year. I’m sorry to all my teammates and peers counting on me to do well this year and wish I didn’t let them down. Even though the situation isn’t looking good this has only strengthened my desire to be the best I can be in this sport and given me added motivation to work harder in the coming off season.

Don’t sleep on me during track season I’ll be coming back for everything I worked hard to get this summer. by @danielw_runs

Half way through the season! Started off strong with a 5k pr of 16:56 and running 17:07 yesterday at cherry creek. Hoping to make some more progress as the season goes on! by @danielw_runs
