If only there was a @capitolgroovedc around when I was 15 years old. I could have gotten some well rounded information that I could personally apply at the start of my music career. It would have saved me a world of headache and at least one or two heartaches.

I'm pleased to be able to share my experiences, alongside Solia and Emma G., with aspiring musicians of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life in the hope of adding value to their own personal goals and creative visions.

This introduction to developing and distributing your EPK, or Electronic Press Kit, is just the start of building a foundation for how to be heard.

Hope it helps. Hope to learn more about what would help you in your musical or other creative endeavor.

I'm incredibly thankful for the opportunity to contribute to the diverse and inclusive creative community within and around Washington DC, and for the chance to take part in supporting and speaking at events like the DC Music Summit (@dcmusicsummit).

As much as I love creating music that speaks to me personally, I've always been passionate about growing the artistry of others, mentorship, and growing the music industry in our area.

I'm not alone. Neither are you.

Much love to @diorashleybrown and the DCMS team for their commitment to making this event possible every year. It has nurtured networking & relationships, encouraged & motivated, and provided educational opportunities on a variety of topics.

Don't miss your chance to take part. taken in Washington D. C. by @danielwarrenhill

Thankful to be able to express myself as a writer, not just as a songwriter. To have the ability to contribute in bringing awareness of these kinds of collaborations makes my heart sing, and I hope it continues to encourage future collaborations between creatives of all kinds. Grats to @blackdogprowl and Friends and @thecrossover.tv for seeing this project through and the chance to interview then for @alchemicalrecords This reimagining of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band features more than forty DC area musicians and creatives.

Now it is my turn to share the love and respect. Yesterday I released a solo artist version of "I Cry" which is available now wherever fine music is sold or streaming. The inspiration behind that release is 'vulnerability,' which represents the V in the term DEV, which is the short title for my book (still being written) DEV: 3 Keys For Success In The Modern Music (Or Other Creative) Industry. I was first introduced to the term DEV by @uttercaos who I suggested write a book called Zen And The Art Of Planking. I'm thankful for the chance to meet so many fantastic people from so many various fields who share in creating communities built on sharing ideas and investing in each others' growth. I've recently relaunched my site (link in bio) with details about the upcoming book, but you'll have to find me on your favorite music platform if you want to hear me be vulnerable in "I Cry (Home Sweet Home). I'm excited to share this track, produced by @cblack781 and engineered by Trammell Starks in Alpharetta Georgia. It takes me back to my roots; raised in church, and always knowing the path to God is always accessible. No matter what direction life takes us, there is always a home. #danielwarrenhill #dev #vulnerability #icry #homesweethome #chrisblackwell #trammellstarks #alpharetta #georgia #newmusic #musicwithamessage #home #respect #planking #music #community #devcommunity #3keysforsuccess #dev #devops #makefriends #makemusic #makeadifference #thepathtogod #alwaysahome by @danielwarrenhill

It's true that my focus has been to share the power of vulnerability lately. I find it to be a necessary trait in forming real and genuine friendships, and of course, communities. It is a trait seemingly lacking in the world in which we live; where status and acclaim in modern times appears achievable only by those who have never made a mistake and will never make mistakes in the future. This is a veil that can be pulled away when society and the people we elevate in society are equally vulnerable with one another. #danielwarrenhill #mscottpeck #quote #vulnerability #icry #community #city #risk #vulnerable #society #status #acclaim #prestige #mistakes #peace #life #personalgrowth #personaldevelopment #changeyourself #inspireothers by @danielwarrenhill

Wrote an article about some music just released by Kansas based artist Anna Hamilton. Thankful to have a chance to dive in to music with a message and share it with new fans. #Repost @alchemicalrecords

Anna Hamilton can be seen on Season 2 of NBC’s Songland as a featured writer for Ben Platt, and you may have heard her acoustic cover of “Bad Liar” made famous by Imagine Dragons, garnering millions of fans. Her latest release “Self Help,” during this time is no coincidence as it speaks now to the feelings of millions of listeners who have had to readjust or re-imagine what their lives should look like while facing various stages of quarantine. It's conceivable that a flower may have been one of the very first examples of beauty. When disconnected from its root system its beauty lasts just a few days. Even with its support system the beauty lasts only a season before the flowers fade in preparation for another winter. Vulnerability dictates that we acknowledge we are stronger while connected to our support system and that even then our individual beauty is still subject to times and seasons. Meanwhile, others around us are also blossoming and fading at their own rates. Vulnerability understands that Spring will come again. #danielwarrenhill #icry #vulnerable #vulnerability #beauty #winter #spring #seasons #flowers #connection #lifecycles #support #roots #individuality #personalgrowth #personaldevelopment #inspireothers #motivation #healthylifestyle #lifelonglearning #healthyliving #interpersonal by @danielwarrenhill

Did you know that water is an extremely vulnerable substance but can also be one of the strongest materials as well? It absorbs minerals and other properties into itself. It comprises much of our bodies, most of the earth and is necessary for the life of all known carbon based life forms. It's nature is to take the shape of the container it is in but it's mass and weight can be crushingly devastating; even more so when combined with other elements. Vulnerability is not an indication of weakness, but is rather just another property that by itself is not enough to define who and what we are. #danielwarrenhill #icry #vulnerable #vulnerability #water #nature #materials #strengthinweakness #strength #motivation #motivational #encouragement #inspire #inspireothers #babysteps #personalgrowth #personaldevelopment #change #growth #thenatureofwater by @danielwarrenhill
