This Friday @danielweltraum releases the second single of his upcoming album for Protomaterial, TOUCHING GROUND.

Daniel Brandl is an experimental musician. He prepares his cello with objects and uses the computer as a means to achieve sounds that otherwise would not be taking place. This type of electronic manipulation of the cello turns into an expanded instrument, capable of new and unexpected possibilities. In doing so, Brandl builds a language in which sounds generally thought of as unpleasant are interwoven with clear melodies to form improvised poetry. He uses elements of the European classical tradition and combines them with jazz and electronic music materials. by @danielweltraum
