I painted my kitchen blue and orange, and now it’s time to finish the cabinet doors and drawers. I decided to stick with the natural wood against these bold colors and use the original hardware. Then, I will add some tile to bring all these textures together. Renovating this midcentury modern kitchen has been so difficult, but I’m excited to see it through! taken in Thatcher, Arizona by @danielzrotfl

Something I didn’t think about while renovating this house… What is actually coming out of these old pipes in a town that’s had mining running through it for decades.

So while I had the cabinet under the sink open anyway, I put in a @waterdropfilter which was small enough to actually fit past my garbage disposal. Now the water just tastes like water. No chlorine, no weird smell, no second-guessing it before I fill a glass in the middle of an Arizona summer.

My goal this summer was to stay inspired and celebrate with people that I love. I’d say that goal was overachieved. Share stories, tell friends you love them, and take the picture. Have a great summer. taken in Seattle, Washington by @danielzrotfl

I painted my kitchen orange and blue, but I’m not sure how I feel about it. Blue and orange are complimentary colors, so this was a bold choice. But I chose the colors based on a clock my grandmother used to have from her fabric shop in the 1960s. Will this color palette work still? Or do you think I made a mistake? by @danielzrotfl

Too often I catch myself frustrated in living the life I always wished for. The reality is, if your younger self saw your success, would they be proud of who you have become? It takes gratitude to live in the present moment. So I pause and remember… I’ve done a lot in my life, and I can’t wait to do so much more.
Have you ever had these moments like this before? taken in Thatcher, Arizona by @danielzrotfl

Being a beauty influencer in 2016 comes with many stories that you wouldn’t believe… what a time it was. The documentary would be wild. It was a lifetime ago. taken in Los Angeles, California by @danielzrotfl

I’ve been so busy renovating my home I forget that most of the work is all about maintaining what is already there. Replacing the valve in my bathroom should have been done so long ago, but it wasn’t until the room was covered in water that I noticed it needed to be fixed. Thankfully it wasn’t a quick fix, and one more skill to put under my belt. taken in Thatcher, Arizona by @danielzrotfl
