To me, energy healing is not just a practice - it’s a way of engaging with life.

I am constantly using the lens of energy to translate what’s happening in my life and parse out the guidance from my soul.

That includes physical symptoms (which tbh, I think is what the soul resorts to when nothing else is getting through! 😭).

The perspective of energy is not to “fix” the symptom but instead to heal the whole system.

Now, for the real talk. This year has been brutal. Each year since 2020 I’ve thought things were turning the corner, and each year exposes even more challenges, failures, and disappointments. It’s like trying to fix a bug in the code, only to unleash 10 more error messages.

Yet, good and wonderful things are happening, too, sometimes the same week or even day as the worst things.

I also seem to be losing my ability to deal with the small things. Or perhaps, my old walls and boundaries are melting away, and I’m actually feeling life for the first time. I don’t know what else to do than to follow the things that are good, like following the music.

As I reflect on my life thus far, and one year of Sister Earth, I realize what this is really about is bringing the fictional world I imagined into reality. The writing, the @theseaquill_ events, and the energy healing are all connecting people to their inner voice so they can contribute to society through their art. That’s where we’re all going. by @danifankhauser

I constantly see people online saying, why aren’t there any novels or movies about the future where it all works out? And one by one, they’re discovering my book 🤩 🌹 🐍 🌍

I’ve grown my newsletter subscribers from 0 to 500 in the past four years.

When I started, I was desperate to have a few people I know on the list and obsessed with whether they actually opened the emails.

These are guest speaking opportunities for themed online multi-day webinar events. I was in 3 writing-related summits in 2025, and one of them had major speakers like Amie of @inspiredtowrite. Everyone promotes but you only get their email if they download your freebie, in my case it was my PDF guide The Productive Writer’s Ritual.

Everyone industry has opportunities like this and the best way to find them is to talk to your peers. Set up friendly intro calls with people doing the same type of work. You get connected to amazing opportunities for visibility this way!

Debut author’s first book signing, wrapped!

Something amazing about a book is how portable it is, how you take your imagination and package it into a world and story, which someone else gets to experience independently, across time and geography.

Because of that, there’s something extra special about meeting a reader in person.

It was really cool to hear how people experienced Sister Earth’s themes around feminine power and creating a world we want.

One takeaway was: “I want to live here.”

Those words are music to me … because that was my exact intention in creating an art-centered matriarchy.

Once you catch the vision, you start taking practical steps towards it, whether that means quitting your job, finishing our own book, spending time in nature, or listening more to the voice of your own intuition.

We are so much closer to living in Sister Earth than you may think.

Energy is wise!

When I do energy healing with clients, we do a lot of intention-setting up front so we know where to expect results … and then we stay open and curious.

Because different parts of your life are connected more than you think.

This is the stuff that will never come up in a therapist’s office or physical therapy, because it doesn’t follow a logical thread.

That said, when a 10+ year long friendship suddenly became unbearable … I immediately found a spiritually-fluent therapist because I was like, WTF just happened and I needed to talk about it.

I integrate this kind of supportive reflection into my sessions, but many of my clients are concurrently in therapy, or I can refer them to someone.

And lastly - what I LOVE about energy healing work is that it’s actually not subtle. Something in your life will change. Freedom awaits!

Migraines are common among writers, and I find that correlation really interesting.

Energetically, a physical symptom suggests an imbalance in the energy field, but it’s not always “bad”—sometimes a sudden change in pressure, i.e., lots of imaginative energy coming in, can trigger an energetic overload.

Interpreting physical symptoms can feel like playing charades with your soul, and trying to communicate a complex message through symbols emerging through your own body.

Get playful. This is about connecting with yourself.
