There’s something painfully beautiful about missing someone you love.

You miss their presence, their touch, their warmth, their smile… simply having them close.

Sometimes a song just finds the right words for you.

This is my first time recording a cappella.

Some songs stay with you for years. They travel with you through different moments, different places, and different versions of yourself.

For me, music has always been a way of expressing feelings that are sometimes difficult to put into words.

This song reminds me how beautiful it is to feel, to love, and to connect with someone..exactly those moments that make us feel alive, warm, like a hug.

“Can’t Help Falling in Love” — Elvis Presley 🎶
P.S. I almost gave up recording this one more times than I want to admit xD

I forgot how good it feels to just let go and sing.

Today I sat at my desk, opened my agenda to organize my thoughts for the week, worked a bit on my private projects, did some research… and then I just let myself sing.

I haven’t done this in a long time.

A few days ago, a friend from the choir told me something that stayed with me:
“Daniel, sometimes the best way to disconnect… is to connect with something you love.”

One of my intentions this year actually is to get back to this: to my real self.

The one who just sings.

🎶 A Tribute to Laika: A Musical Journey 🎶

Today, I want to share with you a tale that unfolded on an open mic stage, where music and memories intertwined in a beautiful symphony of love and tribute.

Destiny graced me once more with an unexpected surprise in Cambridge, an incredible group of people. As I always say, beautiful things have a way of finding you, there's no need to force them into your life. A simple WhatsApp message, "Hey Daniel, are we going to play together?" - that touched a part of my heart that resonates even on the saddest of days.

Just weeks ago, I bid farewell to my beloved Laika, leaving an indelible mark on my soul. But it was this very loss that inspired a heartfelt promise to honor her in the most profound way I can.

"Fix You" by Coldplay became the anthem that captured the essence of our love. This song carried a profound meaning, a beacon of hope and solace in times of darkness. With unwavering determination, we took the stage, pouring our hearts into each note and word.

As we began to sing, a gentle whisper swept through the crowd. As the chorus of the song resonated throughout the room, a profound connection enveloped us all. In that singular moment, we, as strangers, became bound together by the transformative power of music. In that moment, surrounded by the melodies and harmonies of my newfound companions, I realized that life had a unique way of bringing us together. They, too, had found me, much like my dear Laika did during her time on Earth.

Today, I stand grateful for life's unexpected surprises. Laika, you found me when I least expected it, forever intertwined with the melodies of my soul. To our music group, thank you for embracing me and creating something truly magical.

May we find the courage to pursue our passions, share our stories, and honor those who profoundly touch our lives. Let music guide and heal us, reminding us that love transcends time and space. And to my dear Laika, wherever you may be, know that your spirit lives on in every note, word, and beating heart. 🐾❤️🎶 taken in Cambridge, United Kingdom by @danig.ob
