this summer in north carolina
I was reminded of the energy of summer in a place where seasons are ostentatious and unavoidable. It’s the peak of the sine wave, the pulse of life in bloom. Seems like the more drastic a geographical region experiences its shifts of hot wet cold and dry, the deeper the lessons and more poignant the beauty. Like it shouts at you and is not to be ignored.
I take a bite from the juiciest peach I’ve known, sit on the back porch screened in from the swirling bugs and think, damn, zinnias are one of my favorite flowers. I love this life and my breath is deeper here. by @danigiachos

Even though sweat is synonymous with summer im beginning to soften &surrender to it. Beautiful colorful fun rainy hot but buzzing with a lot of life. There’s newness, fresh perspective, and a willingness to overcome. Cheers to being a sun-driven sol being🌞✨ by @danigiachos

We lost our Harley a few days ago and the pain and sadness from his absence comes in crashing hard waves. He witnessed the growth of our family, the transition of Nick and I going off to college, visiting on the holidays, to then eventually moving back home and spending his last few years with him by the water. He was the sweetest boy you’d ever meet and would lean on you with all his weight (literally) surrendering to the love of everyone & anyone. More popular than any of us, he pretty much knew and loved everyone down Flagler drive (his favorite place to just feel the wind blow through his floppy ears hehe). His gentleness was his strength and his goofiness his most memorable quality. He truly became the glue in our family and would bring us together when things were hard. I’m sure I can speak for us all when I say we loved Harley with our whole entire hearts and there is a void now that he’s gone. A forever angel in our hearts, he is free and in flight, we love you bubbas🤍✨🕊️ by @danigiachos
