I truly did not think I was going to run track at all this year, especially not a 10k. That event has had a lot of emotional weight behind it for years now and I thought I needed a break. Turns out I just needed to run another one! Gave myself permission to not think about time, just have fun and compete, and somewhere during the race I remembered how much I love this event. 3rd place finish in 32:37. Not my best time but this one felt very meaningful to me. Thank you to @karagoucher and @des_linden for putting on this event! They did an amazing job with it and I hope it sticks around for years to come

Turns out I’m still getting the hang of these longer distances! Learned a lot at @cucb today grinding it out on the streets of DC. Didn’t feel amazing, but also didn’t feel terrible. Going to keep putting in the work and lining up because I know I’ve got lots more to give
