🪩 DANJAM INTRODUCES… DAMIAN WELLS AKA THE WIZARD! 🎧

Next up in our DJ introductions is someone who really needs no introduction if you’ve been around the Nottingham house music scene!

DAMIAN WELLS – THE WIZARD! 🔥

DJing since 1992, Damian has been delivering quality house music for over three decades.

From pirate radio and the legendary Haçienda to his weekly show on Kemet FM, he’s certainly put the hours in!

But what really sets Damian apart is his ability behind the decks. His mixing is something else, and there’s a reason he’s earned the nickname The Wizard! 🧙‍♂️

He’s also one half of Neon Hustlers, with releases on Toolbox and Cleveland City Records.

We’re absolutely delighted to have Damian joining us for our first official DanJam event.

If you’ve never seen him play, you’re in for a treat!

🪩 DANJAM INTRODUCES… DJ ED! 🎧

First up in our DJ introductions for our very first official DanJam event is DJ ED! 🔥

If you’re into Disco, Nu Disco and quality House music, this guy is right up your street!

Ed’s been behind the decks since the mid-90s, playing venues across Nottingham, Sheffield and Ibiza, including a residency at the legendary Republic, the former home of Gatecrasher.

After a little break from DJing (only about 20 years! 😅), the disco bug bit again in 2017, and he’s been back doing his thing ever since.

What we particularly love about Ed is his taste in music. He’s always digging out fresh disco grooves, but he’s also got a knack for dropping those forgotten classics. You know the ones… tracks you haven’t heard in years that make you go, “Bloody hell, I’d forgotten how good this tune was!” 🙌

That’s exactly the sort of music we love at DanJam!

We’re really pleased to have Ed joining us for our first official event. Expect quality selections, forgotten gems and plenty of disco goodness! 🪩🔥

🎧 WANT TO HEAR MORE?

Ed’s got a cracking selection of mixes on SoundCloud, regularly updated and well worth a listen.

🇲🇹 MALTA DIARIES – DAY 3/5 ☀️🎶

Not sure if I’ve mentioned it, but I went to Malta last weekend… 😂🇲🇹

Day 3 and we were back at Café del Mar, this time with the Underground open as a second stage. What a lineup!

@djmichaelgrayofficial was on at 2:30pm and the Underground was already absolutely bouncing! 🔥

Next up was @sandyriveraofficial with some proper funky vocal house, right up my street! Then @dj_fattony_ , @djdavidpenn and @theshapeshifters to finish things off. Some seriously good music! 🙌

Managed to catch @kevinsaunderson live in the mix 🙏🏻 on the main stage, overlooking the pool and the sea.

One of the highlights was getting to meet American house music legend Brian Tappert, the man behind Soulfuric Records. Having played his music for nearly 30 years, that was a pretty special moment! 🙌

Also had a great chat with David Penn about Croatia and got to meet the amazing @djalinerocha #. ❤️

@cafedelmarmalta really is something special. Great music, great people and what a setting for a party!

Three days down, two to go… and the legs were starting to question my life choices! 😂🕺

🇲🇹 MALTA DIARIES – DAY 2/5 🎶

Day 2 and we headed over to UNO to catch the amazing @ellaknight__

The place was absolutely bouncing when we arrived! We managed to perch ourselves on a spot overlooking the dancefloor, and Ella was on fire. What a set! 😮‍💨🔥🙌

Great to catch up with @wezsaunders Massive thanks for sorting the tickets, the whole crew had the best time everrrrr! 🙏🏻 Big thanks to @milzzzey too ❤️

Also had a chat with @ethangrayofficial about a very important subject… what’s the best Full Intention record of all time? 🎶

Funny how a conversation about music can lead to something you weren’t expecting… 👀

More on that in Day 5! 😎

🇲🇹 MALTA DIARIES – DAY 1/5 ☀️🎶

What a way to kick off five days in Malta! 🔥

Touched down, headed straight to @cafedelmarmalta to collect our wristbands and couldn’t resist dropping into the pre-party for a little dance! 🕺

Then it was over to Nine Lives Beach Bar, where myself and my partner in crime DJ Wood were on closing duties! 🎧

The party started outside before moving indoors, where DJ Wood delivered an absolute belter of a set! 🙌

I took over to close things out, keeping the dancefloor moving right through to 1am! 😅😱

The energy was already something else, the vibes were high and you could just tell we were in for an incredible five days!

And that was only DAY ONE! 😎🇲🇹

Day 2 coming soon… 👀

Throwback to Groovebox in the Park 🔥🙌

Now THIS is how you throw an outdoor party! ☀️🎶

Complete sell-out, an amazing lineup of DJs and a crowd that was absolutely off the scale from start to finish. 🚀

What a day. What a vibe. Groovebox smashed it once again! 🔥

WOW… WHAT A DAY! 🪩🔥

A massive thank you to everyone who came down to Funkylicious Sunday Sessions at The Vault and made it such a success. The place was absolutely buzzing! 🙌

Big love to all the DJs who gave their time, brought the music and kept the dancefloor moving from start to finish. Everyone brought something different and absolutely delivered. ❤️🎧

And most importantly, thank you to everyone who came to party with us. The atmosphere and energy were exactly what we hoped for when we put this together.

The feedback has been brilliant and the guys at The Vault were really pleased with how the day went too.

Good music. Good people. Good times.
That was the whole idea… and you lot made it happen. 🙌🪩
