I was invited to paint a dinosaur for @newparkhotelkilkenny and their @jurassicnewpark exhibit. A relaxed one that was more than welcomed. The kids were all about it 🥰 🙌 Thanks Mark! by @danleodesign

My family and I recently went and spent some time on Achill Island. I painted this fox for the @teachruadh foundation. The foundation supports children, families, and communities experiencing grief and loss. They supply support for children and families navigating bereavement. The fox is in honour of their son, who they sadly lost. It was definitely a reminder to appreciate what and who you have in your life and try to remember to not take it all for granted. The weather on Achill was not in our favour and painting this was a constant challenge, it’s a miracle it didn’t wash off honestly. All said and done I’m very happy and grateful to have done it and it was a rare opportunity to share the painting process with my kids ❤️ by @danleodesign

The first artist on our block party 2026 line up is @danleodesign 🤩
Dan’s got a signature graphic style that can be seen all over the city in his many murals.
He’s been painting canvases and murals since the early 2000’s and has found much of his inspiration in Irish wildlife. We’re looking forward to seeing he brings on July 25th 🙌🏻 by @danleodesign

Hello! I’ve crawled out from under my rock to let you know that I have two new original Swallow paintings on laser cut wood with an added relief layer.

76x21cm and 6mm deep ready to hang.

Although similar these paintings have distinct palette knife markings that make these unique and include subtle differences.

They are currently up for sale on my big cartel page. Please see link in my bio for more information and or email or dm for price and shipping. by @danleodesign

Going through my HD this morning getting set up for a new project and came across a few bits and pieces from last year that never got to the finish line. Thought they deserved digging out for a post despite them not cutting it. There’s lots more from last year that got scrapped too. Probably my biggest year for abandoning work 😂😭 by @danleodesign

There are a handful of new and restocked A3 prints in the shop. Link in bio. Have a look….. or don’t, it’s completely up to you. It’s not like I can reach through the screen and make you or anything. Happy with that? Ok great. 😊 😉 we can go about our separate ways now. by @danleodesign

I designed this peacock at the start of 24 for a wall that ended up falling through. The wall owner wasn’t a fan apparently. Since then I’ve been keeping it in the back pocket waiting for a suitable wall to come up but alas here we are at the almost end of 25 and no wall worthy. So I’ve made it into a print. If I don’t get it out soon I’ll be over it and It won’t ever see the light of day. Limited edition. Link in bio if you’re interested as well as a few other new arrivals. 🫛🐓🦚 Thanks for looking. by @danleodesign

I haven’t been painting much. I haven’t felt like it recently. The truth is I’ve been doing other things and life can get in the way. I feel a shift coming on and I’m only really interested in posting work that is going in the direction I want it to. Having said that I thought I better send something out into the internet. Here is a painting I did a while back for my kids primary school. I like it enough to show you and that’s something right? Grateful to them for having me. Hopefully a new wave of works will start to come out in 26. Until then. by @danleodesign

I did a painting of a painting I did before. (Thanks David) That’s not something I like to do but I made an exception because I love a skull. Actually happy to have another go at this one and make some improvements to the colours. Then when it was all done and dusted I took it out for the day. Second post of 2025! Killing it guys. by @danleodesign

Had a fun weekend recently in Belfast for Hit the North. Thanks for having me @seedheadarts and the team especially @emicartist for running about like a mad ting never phased and @adamturks for being very accommodating to my needs. This ended up being a bit of a last minute deal so didn’t have the exact colours I would have liked and that is clear but regardless I’m happy to have painted. Thanks to Faye @streetartatlas for taking pics, the better ones included here and for scaling walls left right and centre. Good to see all the usual suspects and meet some new ones! I haven’t posted here it seems in a long time, honestly got bored of it but this recent weekend has injected some fuel back into my art heart. Thank you. More soon. by @danleodesign
