Six years ago today, my Mom went to Heaven to be with Jesus.

Before she left, I asked if she could somehow let me know she was okay after she was gone.

She smiled and told me to look for the little signs.

She said she’d be the pink in every sunset, the birds flying overhead, the butterflies dancing through the yard, the gentle breeze that made the wind chimes sing, the roses that unexpectedly bloomed, and the waves washing over my feet whenever I visited Guana Cay.

She was right.

Over the past six years, I’ve seen those little reminders everywhere.

But more than anything, they’ve reminded me that Jesus has been with me every step of the way. Through every valley and every joy, He has never left me.

I miss my Mom every single day, but I’m so grateful for the journals she wrote, the letters she left behind, the old voicemails, the photographs, the videos, and the pieces of her I still see in my children and grandchildren.

Sometimes I hear her giggle in the back of my mind when I pull a “Ginger,” and it makes me smile.

I will always be her little girl.

And one day, when the Lord calls me home, we’ll dance together again.

Until then, I’ll keep looking for the little signs. 🩷❤️ PS…there is currently a cardinal nest on my back porch directly in front of the window of my art studio. Momma bird is sitting in there awaiting the arrival of her little red birds right now. Thanks for the miracle Mom! ❤️ by @dannalynde

May is a big birthday month in this house, and yesterday we celebrated Big Daddy Hal’s birthday!! Happy Birthday to my husband, @hallynde …a man with many nicknames, but known to Stella and the other grandkids affectionately as “Boss”. Captain Cash is getting more lovable and better looking as he ages, which seems to be working out really well for me!!! I’m one lucky woman. I love you babe! You make my heart sing!! xoxo

This is my 32 year old son. He has 2 really exciting things happening right now! First, it’s his birthday!
Happy Birthday Will! I hope your day is filled with lots of love and happiness! I really want to call you later and tell you the entire story of your exciting birth again! Don’t you love it when I do that? 🤣😂❤️2nd, he has a new song out! It’s called Drama Queen, and it’s available on all streaming platforms right now!!! YEEHAW!!!🩷🩷🩷
15 years and I’m still CANCER FREE! Heck yeah! Today my check up was extra special bc I was told that I could say goodbye to my darling oncologist, and let my regular “lady parts doctor” schedule my yearly mammograms!!! That’s a big dang deal! 😃😍
Y’all…now that I am a “professional influencer”, I feel it’s super important to let you know that early detection is HUGE in saving lives!!! It’s so easy to make the appt and go get it done…do not put it off! Back in the day, the tech had to pull and smash on your boobs like they were milking a dairy cow in order to get a good picture. I’m sure glad they did, because that’s how they found my breast cancer. It’s so much easier today…now, it’s just some gentle jostling and a tight squeeze here and there, and you are done taking pictures! Ta-dah!!! I’m grateful for the advances made and the medical teams out there still looking for answers. Happy Birthday Nancy! I have spent hours trying to learn how to do something really cool for your birthday on all social media platforms…and I can’t work any of them! I need a kid to show me how to do it please!
You deserve today to be especially wonderful because it’s a special birthday!!! I want you to have live music, a parade, some male strippers, a giant cake with a hot forest ranger jumping out of it, endless margaritas, a lifetime supply of tacos, a city zoo named after you, a beautiful firework display, somebody sky-writing your name across the clouds, bouquets of flowers, cheese and crackers, personal phone calls from some of your favorite actors and musicians!!! You have been more than a good friend to me over the years, you have been my sister, my family, and I’m so blessed that we were asked to work on a project together so many years ago…we still have so many things left to glitter!
