What a fucking World Cup!

World Cup 2026 was an emotional roller coaster unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Ever since I found out the tournament would be coming to the city I call home, Vancouver 🇨🇦 I had been counting down the years with excitement. It felt like a dream coming true. But life had other plans. I never imagined that instead of experiencing it at home, I’d be living it on the other side of the world. In the end, I experienced this World Cup across 2 countries and 7 cities. Even now, I still can’t fully process everything I lived. As someone who truly breathes football, this was one of the most intense and unforgettable journeys.

Thank you, Mexico. I always knew it was a true football nation. Ever since I was a kid, my father used to tell me, “Mexicans are crazy about football.” He was absolutely right. I experienced incredible hospitality, unconditional love for the game, and a level of warmth, tolerance, and acceptance that is rare to find. No matter your nationality, your background, or the color of your skin, people welcomed you with open arms and a huge heart. I’ll never forget the people I met or the memories we created together.

I also had the chance to travel back to the United States and watch a match there. It was a completely different atmosphere, but a unique experience nonetheless.

And yes, I’m incredibly happy that Spain won. Corruption lost. Congratulations to Spain on becoming world champions a champion for all of us 🇫🇷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇨🇭🇪🇬🇨🇻🇩🇿🇦🇹🇳🇱🇧🇷🇲🇽🇨🇴🇺🇾🇲🇦🇨🇴 and many more

I’ll always remember this month as one of the greatest experiences of my life. At the same time, I’ll also remember it as one of the most controversial World Cups I’ve witnessed in terms of honesty and fair play.

Above all, I’m grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to live a dream I’ve had since I was about five years old, travel the world as and meet new people and enjoy this passion with humanity, this is an experience that will stay with me forever.
