3 months ago, on the coast of a Puerto Rican paradise, surrounded by our most cherished loved ones, I married my best friend.

You couldn't find me picking up my truck from downtown Austin this hungover. Yet here I am, in a stock car, in all my glory, doing 139 on my final lap on a track that has come to mean so much to me over the last few years. Holy crap... what a rush. Big thanks to @tyler_the_hairstylist for sharing all those experiences, especially this one 🏁🤝🏁 taken in Las Vegas Motor Speedway by @dannyaranny

We loved her immensely, and it was easy, because she clearly loved us so much more. She passed away Thursday afternoon, Sep 5th, peacefully in her favorite spot with us by her side. Perfect goodbye for a perfect companion.

Chip "Shmoo" Aranda's journey from the streets to the suites is nothing shy of the plot to a cheesy 90s movie. Filled with unfavorable East Side circumstances, beating the odds daily, and with a twist of luck, occupying the right front porch that belong to the right 2 suckers. Feel free to ask about the lengths we went to keep her safe and comfortable before we all moved north in 2021.

Thanks to everyone who reached out, and to those who sent tokens of love to make a very tough day a little less sad. You are greatly appreciated.

Kehinde and I • "Femme piquée par un serpent" oil on canvas 142 x 331" • One of my biggest regrets was not seeing his breakout exhibition at the Modern Fort Worth. Since then I've collaged single piece experiences from permanent collections throughout the world. Getting to see this full exhibition, "An Archaeology of Silence", an incredible display of brass and oil works, helped soften that blow. He's a creative genius, and this work/ style/ subject will never tire. #kehindewiley #htineholditdine #thankskritt taken in The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston by @dannyaranny

In April I took a big step into foreign yet familiar territory, and purchased a rental property. Then the last three months I spent every free day and dollar updating, furnishing, and decorating. I'll be Airbnb'ing it for the first year, closely monitoring and evaluating the return before considering long term. 5 bed, 3 bath, decked out patio and pool. 👉 📲. So for all of my friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances, if you have traveling teams, gatherings, or special occasions that need lodging while in Austin - please let me know, happy to help and host. Wish me luck y'all, just the beginning.

I want to thank Weston Barnes and Ryan Doll for bringing this house into the 21st-century. If you need fabrication @westconstruction_atx or electric @ryandoll174 reach out to these dudes first.

And of course, a huge thank you to realtor Matt McClendon who turned a small question into a big opportunity. You're a wizard, sir. Reach out to him and his wife/partner Kelly if in the market @centraltxdreamhomes

Last, I played this extremely close to the chest. So to those who poked around, and I had to deflect because this shit is nerve-racking until you witness any signs of success: my b, you'll understand. Hugs. taken in North Austin by @dannyaranny

"I no longer wish to look at dead things" - 7 color screen print on paper - 18x24". Watchmen inspired submission for @guzugallery's MUIA art exhibition this past summer • 'Watchmaker' is one of greatest pieces of illustrated literature ever. The movie adaptation, although great, missed the mark on the complex elegance of Dr. Manhattan's existence. A reason why I didn't mind going abstract art nerd for this • Thanks again to Vince @halfhumanheart for keeping me in the mix of his amazingly curated group exhibitions. #keepingthescenealive
