October…. Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I am so happy to be able to provide raffle baskets and hats whenever I can to organizations, warriors, etc. as well as attending as many fundraisers as I can fit in.

This basket of beauties is going to the 2nd annual Tit For Tat Breast Cancer Fundraiser coming up on October 17th. Chelsea, the artistic genius behind @chelsea.vixenink, provides paramedical tattooing of the MOST realistic nipples on the planet to warriors post mastectomy. And she provides it free of charge! So many people think that the end of chemo marks the end of a warrior’s journey. For most, it is barely the beginning. But wonderful people like Chelsea are stepping up with their talent to try to help out. If you’re in the south suburbs of Chicago, come out and support Chelsea and all of the warriors she helps.

The “Little Pumpkin” parade continues and I for one am not hating it. I cannot get over this one! From the beautiful yarn hand dyed in glorious autumn hues from @faintinggoatfiberco to the always adorable bootie soles and matching patches from @twolittlerainbows. The little pops of teal in this set just screamed for a matching teal pom (Have you ever heard pops of color scream? It’s frightening. Think baby mandrakes IYKYK 🤣). I just added this little set to the shop if you’re looking for a unique gift or seasonal set

The Crossweave Beanie is here! The newest design from @knitbyjennifer is a beautiful example of squishy texture. The pattern includes instruction in adult and child as well as super bulky and light super bulky. Don’t let the intricate design fool you. It’s easy to do once you get going.

This could be one of the most fun knits I have ever done. I literally had no plan as I started each other than knowing which yarns I was using. Both were built around scraps of leftover indie dyed yarn I had in my stash. The #ridgewaycowl from @urbanchiccrochet is a great mosaic pattern that allows you to dig into all of your scraps and come out with something really beautiful. It can be customized for any number of color combinations as well as size making it a truly custom accessory.
