I’ve always felt a deeper connection to animals than I ever seemed to find with people. For as long as I can remember, I’ve carried this feeling that I never quite belonged anywhere, that I was always standing just outside the places I was supposed to fit.

Maybe that’s why the bond I share with my dogs feels so special. There’s no judgment in their love, no expectations, no need to explain who I am. Just a quiet understanding and a presence that stays. by @dannyonaux

I’m really trying to find happiness in my life, to learn to love myself and not be afraid to focus on my own life, growth, and success.

I spend so much time lifting others up that I sometimes forget to do the same for myself. I’m learning to recognize my own worth and to make my health, peace, and wellbeing a priority.

There will always be bumps in the road, but I’m determined not to let them pull me away from the path I’m on.

Life is mysterious and scary, and sometimes we have to learn how to find a little peace of mind in the middle of all the uncertainty.

At the end of the day, you have to learn how to show up for yourself. No one else can pull you out of the dark, you have to find your way toward the light.

Sometimes, getting lost is the only way we find ourselves.

I’ve spent so much of my life chasing what comes next that I forgot there was beauty in simply being here. Lately, I’ve been learning to slow down, to breathe, and to trust that I don’t need to have everything figured out.

We’re all becoming. Shedding old versions of ourselves. Growing in ways no one else can always see.

Some people will only remember the person you used to be. Let them.

You don’t owe anyone the comfort of staying the same.

Keep growing.
Keep healing.
Keep becoming.

Took 2 days off from work for my mental health and to celebrate my 2 years of sobriety....I went and saw my favorite band @wagewar 2 nights in a row lol

Their music has helped me so much with moments of severe depression and feeling completely hopeless, and so being able to watch them in the front barrier and get to sing all of their songs were moments I will never forget.

Also thanks so much for @___inkspill___ for my amazing tattoo taken in The Observatory North Park by @dannyonaux

2026 has already tested me in ways I didn’t expect. I went through a breakup after almost 4 years, and not in the easiest way. At the same time, I’m coming up on 2 years alcohol-free something I’m proud of, but also something that’s made me reflect a lot.

Looking back at who I was when I was drinking, I can see the chaos I created and the people I hurt. That’s not easy to sit with, but it’s part of my story and part of what pushed me to grow.

What I’ve learned is this: I can’t expect happiness if I’m not willing to put in the work for it. I have to be someone I respect when I look in the mirror. No shortcuts, no distractions.

So moving forward, I’m choosing myself. I’m not letting anyone or anything get in the way of my peace, my growth, or my future — especially my career as a chef.

This year hasn’t been easy, but it’s making me stronger, clearer, and more focused than ever. by @dannyonaux

This is the longest I've been sober in 15+ years, it's been a huge battle in my life, but ever since I quit nothing I finally am starting to heal from all of the trauma I went through in my past. I drank to numb myself and to escape the reality I wasn't facing. Couldn't be happier, and more focused on my career as an aspiring chef, love to everyone who has supported me on this long journey. #recovery #addiction #sober by @dannyonaux
