Get to know me in 5! I thought this would be fun because some of these things you would only know if you really KNEW me. I’m not really one to boast about my favorite books constantly, or any of these categories really. So here is a glimpse into my life. P.s I play video games but not enough to post about them (usually all Pokemon) and I though musicals were a better choice ;) #meetthebookstagramer #reader #bookstagram #gettoknowme #meetthereader by @dannyt927
🍀March wrap-up🍀 I won’t lie, I’m having an amazing start to this year in terms of reading, and loving it! I’m impressed by how many books I’ve read so far and amazed that I haven’t really read a bad one yet this year! March had so bangers! Have you read any of these? Especially Red Winter, cause it’s AMAZING! Red Winter 5 ⭐️ The Wedding People 4 ⭐️ Your favorite scary movie 5⭐️ Meet me under the lights 4⭐️ King Sorrow 5⭐️ Before the coffee gets cold 3.5-4⭐️ So Old, So Young 4⭐️ The Witch 4⭐️ #marchwrapup #booksta #readinggoal #lgbt by @dannyt927
💛February reads💛 While February wasn’t full of romance for me, it was filled with love in other ways. I read a shit ton of books, Bad Bunny showed the world was real pride was, and Pokemon day was a highlight. Reading 8 books in a short month is a triumph for me, I feel I’m really coming into my stride this year, and I owe that to my ability to cut the bull shit out. I’m very proud that I also read a good chunk of books by black authors( though, I read black authors all year round and so should you). Reading has and will always be political. Fuck ice. Fuck war. Love hard. How was your February? The good and the bad, reading and not reading. #bookstagram #queerbooks #alexishenderson #thrillerbooks #februaryreads by @dannyt927
*January reads* Clearly January has been a trying month for us all. For me, it was ok, I didn’t read as much as I wanted, but factoring a late xmas vacation, minor health issue, life and challenging conversations and the state of our country, I thought I did good! I started the month of on fire, having read 107 days, validating that I made the right choice, but America didn’t fully agree. A month of thrillers, which was perfect, because It has been a while, also some retellings and fun fantasies! Here is a result of playing more with procreate! How did your January go?! What do you read?! Also, fuck ice. by @dannyt927
Christmas haul! The reason for posting it so late is my embarrassment, cause baby, these are a lot of books! To be fair, half were gifts, and I bought the other half (ON SALE) sorry for the bad pic, it was so hard trying to fit them all in frame! This pile consists of so many genres and authors, and that is very exciting, because I’m not afraid to read outside of the norm. There are some older, as well as brand new releases I couldn’t wait to sink into! The question is, where do I even start?! Buddy read anyone? by @dannyt927
2025 was a shit show, but I did read some pretty great books, I must say. Here are my top 6 books of the year. I’m proud that my favorites are a wide range of books, from historical fiction, to young adult fantasy, horror, queer, books by Asian and Latino authors. What a diverse stack, could be more, and I aim to diversify even more. The last picture is of course my favorite of the year Hamnet, because the book and movie wrecked me. 1. Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins 2. A Forgery of Fate by Elizabeth Lim 3. Bury our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E Schwab 4. Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix 5. The Possession of Alba Díaz by Isabel Cañas 6. Hamnet by Maggie O’farrell by @dannyt927
Ive noticed lately that I’ve been in my feels lately. From books, to life, friendships, it all has been a rollercoaster for my emotions. I’m a firm believer in crying, so I thought I would share some of my favorite books that really had me crying into a pillow. Take these into 2026 and cry right away, might make you feel better! 1. Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell. What can I say, this is perfect. We watch how the death of a son sparks one of the most influential pieces of literature. All the while, a mother learns to grieve alone. 2. This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub. A woman celebrating her 40th birthday, gets the chance to go back in time to when she was sixteen and her father was perfectly healthy, not ill, like in the present time. 3. . Heart the Lover by Lily King. Love triangle that explores friendship, grief, and heartbreak 4. Razorblade Tears by S.A Cosby. Two fathers on a Mission to avenge the deaths of their two gay sons, who they didn’t fight for while they were alive. This will wreck you. 5. Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller Greek tragedy. Gay love. That’s all. Enjoy crying all night. 6. Pack up the moon by Kristan Higgins. Imagine getting letters from your dead wife, who only wants you to grow and find happiness and not just be consumed with grief. by @dannyt927
My favorite fall memory was taking a mother and son trip to NYC. Taking my mom to her first Broadway show, something that only happens once, was one of the best experiences of my life. by @dannyt927
