Rylee and her @teamsandiegohill were back together at the PGF 14U Qualifier in Stockton, CA. The girls went 4-2 on the weekend. Not the results they were looking for but a lot to build on.

Stats for Rylee: 9-19 (.474 BA) ,3 walks, 4 RBI’s, 5 runs scored and 2 stolen bases. She utilized her triple threat (Bunt, Slap and Swing away) all weekend.

What makes The War You Cannot See powerful is not that it glorifies struggle… It reveals what was hidden underneath it.

The Bible exposes the human heart: the pride, the fear, the striving, the self-righteousness, the need for approval, the endless search for peace apart from God.

But at the same time, Scripture reveals God’s heart: His mercy,His patience,His truth,His grace,
His love shown through Jesus Christ.

That’s why this book is not ultimately about my story.

It’s about what happens when God opens your eyes to the war happening within you. The war of identity. The war of thought patterns.
The war between performance and grace. The war between self-reliance and surrender.

seeing the lies we believed,
seeing the emptiness of living for approval, and ultimately seeing the goodness, mercy, and truth of God.

The hardest thing about spiritual blindness is that you don’t know what you can’t see. For years, I believed things about God, myself, and my identity that felt true—but weren’t rooted in His Word.

Then the Holy Spirit began revealing the lies, renewing my mind, and showing me what Jesus had already accomplished.

That journey became the heart of my book, The War You Cannot See.

Because sometimes the breakthrough isn’t trying harder.
It’s finally seeing what was true all along.

On September 11, 2001, I was working at 24 Hour Fitness as an Assistant General Manager. I remember watching what was happening in New York, having no idea how much the world was about to change—or how much my own life would change in the years ahead.

Twenty-five years later, I look at that day through a different lens: the lens of God’s Word. Like so many people, I’ve wrestled with the question: How can something so evil happen?

Thousands of innocent lives lost. Families forever changed. First responders running toward unimaginable danger. An entire nation experiencing fear, anger, grief, and uncertainty.

I can’t pretend to know every story behind that day. I don’t know everything that happened behind closed doors, and I don’t claim to know whether everything we’ve been told is completely true. But God knows. Nothing is hidden from Him. And ultimately, He is the Judge—not me.

“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” — Ecclesiastes 12:14 KJV

As believers, we aren’t called to blindly accept everything the world tells us, nor are we called to live consumed by suspicion and fear. We have been given the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and discernment. We can seek truth while trusting that final judgment belongs to God.

And perhaps the deepest truth 9/11 reminds me of today is something Scripture has been telling us from the beginning: The human heart is broken and desperately needs a Savior.

Humanity cannot ultimately save itself through governments, politics, military power, wealth, education, or human wisdom. Our deepest problem is spiritual. And our greatest need is Jesus Christ.

Evil does not get the final word. Fear does not get the final word. Death does not get the final word.

Jesus does.
