Keeping the Sylosis vibes going because I seriously can’t get enough of these riffs!

This will be my last video for a few weeks. My wife and I are heading to Europe for an adventure, so I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who’s been following along. I genuinely appreciate you guys.

To all the musicians out there putting in the work, keep that fire burning and keep kicking ass. Can’t wait to get back and start cranking out riffs with you guys again.

Cheers guys! You rock! 🤘

Kicking off the week with more Sylosis!

Not sure if this is officially turning into a series yet, but I did pick up the official tabs for this album directly from Sylosis, and they’re fantastic.

I always recommend getting tabs straight from the artist whenever possible. Not only does it support the musicians behind the music, but there’s something satisfying about knowing you’re learning the songs exactly how they were written.

Hope you guys enjoy this one. If you haven’t given this album a proper listen yet, do yourself a favor. It absolutely rules! 🤘

The moment this riff takes over, you know exactly what’s coming.

This also happens to be the first video I’ve ever shared using a tremolo. I couldn’t think of a better riff to put it to work than one of my favorites from Slayer. Interested to hear what you think.

Kicking off the weekend with a trip to the underworld.

Slayer built their legacy on speed, but some of their most memorable moments came when they slowed everything down and let the atmosphere do the work. It’s hard to believe this was released in 1988. Curious where everyone stands, which era of Slayer will always be your favorite?

Alright… time to break the ice. ❄️

Jumping into one of my all-time favorite bands, Killswitch Engage.
I’ve been looking forward to covering these guys for a while, and “My Last Serenade” is just so iconic. That said, there are so many killer tracks in their catalog that I think I’m gonna dive deep into this band for a bit.

Drop a comment and let me know your favorite KSE song, I’m all ears.

Thanks again to everyone following along. You guys rule.
The riffs continue 🤘

Had to tackle this one based on the title alone. “Stained Humanity” feels pretty fitting for the times we’re living in.

But the riffs aren’t stopping anytime soon! Shoutout to everyone out there consistently putting out great guitar content. Keep sharpening those skills, supporting each other, and pushing forward.

Appreciate you guys following along. Keep up the shred, and I’ll see you on the next one! 🤘

Keeping the Sylosis momentum going with another one from Conclusion of an Age!

I’ve been having an absolute blast bringing these riffs to life. This album is a perfect reminder that you don’t need to tune down to make something sound absolutely crushing. Standard tuning can deliver plenty of aggression when the riffs are this good.

I’ve still got a few more from this album I want to tackle before we move on to something I think we’re all going to enjoy.

Cheers guys! Hope everyone’s doing well. Keep the good vibes going and keep up the shred! 🤘

Keeping the Sylosis vibes going gentlemen!

Why you might ask? Because they’re easily one of my favorite bands in modern metal. Their riffs constantly keep you on your toes, and there’s no better way to sharpen your playing than digging into music that challenges you.

And that’s not even getting into the production side of things. If you haven’t checked out Josh Middleton’s instructional videos on YouTube, you’re seriously missing out. There’s a wealth of knowledge in those videos, and I can’t recommend them enough.

Anyways, rant over! Hope you guys are doing well. Let’s keep the shred going! 🤘 by @danplaysmetal

It’s Friday, so you know what that means. Time to play some sick riffs with the homies!

Parkway Drive never disappoints, and this section of Idols and Anchors is an absolute blast to play. Even better getting to lock it in with @vaughnmichaelaudio the dude is seriously dialed in and always a pleasure to work with.

If you’re not following him already, go show him some love!

Whatever you’re up to this weekend, whether you’re playing a show, hitting rehearsal, or just jamming at home, make some noise and enjoy the music. Have a great weekend, guys! 🤘

Keeping the Sylosis vibes going!

Since I’ve got the official tabs for Conclusion of an Age, I figured we might as well make the most of it and dig into as much of this album as possible. There’s no shortage of incredible riffs to choose from.

Another seriously satisfying section to play right here. I’ve been having an absolute blast putting these songs together, and I appreciate you guys following along.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Cheers guys, see you on the next one! 🤘
